You can sit in and enjoy the small cosy atmosphere with staff who have been here for as long as I can remember. Or you can take away. They have a licence to sell alcohol too. The Silver Dollar was probably the only independent American-style pizza restaurant in Great Britain at the time. US servicemen could get pizza on their respective base but it wasn't the same as the Silver Dollar as most English, Irish, or otherwise non-American cooks couldn't create the feel of an American pizza. My future English wife (now of 54 years) had her first pizza at the Silver Dollar. Sometime during the 1980-90s(?), we visited the Silver Dollar, which was now owned by Indian or Pakistanis (my apologies for not knowing which), and the staff treated us very well. The pizza was also great but we just couldn't get the image of the table where we use to sit near the window out of our mind as the restaurant's decor had completely changed.
