This guy seemed to remember the preferences of almost every patron, in advance. He was also a bit of a storyteller about the different brands. The holiday decor overshadows the common bulletproof glass usually found in urban liquor stores, not to mention, this place was immaculate so either there is some serious OCD here or they have an amazing cleaning services. I also thought it was interesting that they give out a twizzler with every purchase. When I asked about it, they said it's just some "liquor-ice" from Liquor Rush.....very clever. I've been going to Liquor Rush since it opened and I saw what happened with Con Edison shutting down the street. It was crazy that nobody supported those businesses on Columbus and let them go out of business!!!!!! I walked in there today and the Asian guy behind the counter didn't even look up at me to greet me. He was more interested in grabbing my money! Sad that the old owner is gone! Seems to be the theme in Mount vernon!!!! 26 years in this city and it's not getting any better!!!!!!!!
