Review of Rocky Crofts Rocky is perhaps the worse lawyer I…read morehave ever dealt with. My ex husband and I initially chose him do our divorce, which was amicable. We paid him in installments, half upfront in our meeting in November, 2017. This is when we initially met with Rocky to go over the few things that were to be in the divorce decree. He was paid in full in the first week of February. It is to be noted that I had moved to New Jersey during this process, but was back in town for the 10 days after Rocky had been paid. I had called every day, at least once, to try to contact him for us to be able to come in and sign the papers. We never received any call, email, or any other kind of response from him. We continued this for almost two more weeks before we finally heard from him. Rocky reported to us that his computer had broken and that he had lost his notes from the meeting he had with us, although he wrote everything down in a notebook, not putting it on his computer. I had told him I would send him the information again and had asked for an email back that he received it. Two more days had passed without a response. Again I called Rocky in regards to the email. He said that he was looking for the email from my ex husband and not me. He proceeded to give me an alternate e mail to send the information to. I happily sent him the information with the same request, that he let me know he received it. Again, two days pass by and I call him to see if he received it. At this point it was the middle of May. He finally had drawn up the decree and sent me a copy to sign and promptly mailed it back. He had it at his office one week before he contacted my ex husband to say he could come in and sign the papers. A time was made, my ex husband was running five minutes late and called Rocky to let him know that, and that he had a few questions for him. Rather than wait the five minutes, Rocky left the papers with his secretary for his signature. On June 5, 2018 I sent a text to Rocky asking him when paperwork will be filed. He told me filed and gave me a case and the name of the Judge. He had previously told me that it would take approximately two weeks for the Judge to sign everything. Two weeks later I called the clerk of the court to find out if it had been signed only to find out that all the papers for the divorce were not filed. This process repeated itself until things were finally signed by the Judge on July 26, 2018. The clerk of the court told me various times how documents were being called the incorrect name (one example is instead of calling it a Divorce Decree, it was titled Divorce Stipulation and Property Settlement). The only reason the last papers that needed to be filed were filed is because Rocky showed me the docket report on the case and it said that my ex husband and I needed to sign papers, that Rocky kept insisting that the Judge did. That is not what the docket said, as well as the clerk at the court. I had a copy of the file, adjusted it for the signatures, and emailed them back to Rocky and set up an appointment time for my ex husband to sign. There was no reason for me to have to alter the papers that Rocky clearly should have. So in total this amicable divorce took five months to get filed, when in reality it took have taken at most, one month. I AM NOT taking away that Rocky had other cases than ours. This is not what my issue is. It is a matter that it took him five months to write the decree and fill in six legal documents that really needed only our names and address, the rest of the form already had the needed verbage in it. There is no reason why this could not have been done in two or three weeks. Everything to deal with this lawyer took way too long, the entire divorce, getting back to us with updates, letting us know what was happening in a timely fashion. None of this was an easy process for such a simple divorce. I strongly WOULD NOT use this lawyer for anything.

UNEXPERIENCED and WASTE OF MONEY This place is the absolute worst experience of my life!!! Did a…read morephone consultation and seemed like a good place to help out with my first ever divorce. I was very WRONG!!! Mohammed made it seem that he was going to take care of me and really cared about my situation (divorce). From the get go I should have seen the red flags (many of them) his last attempt for me to refill my retainer is when I finally noticed to be done!!! His soul goal was to make sure his bank account was satisfied and nothing else mattered. Please do your research on divorce lawyers (especially if it's your first ever divorce) I was definitely taken advantage of and was charged over $6k for absolutely NOTHING!!! Countless time on meetings and phone calls that lead nowhere and he claimed he wasn't getting response from other lawyer involved and made many excuses why it was taking so long. Never once mentioned mediation in the beginning. MEDIATION should percent be done first thing before any lawyer involved I ended up firing Mohammed and went to mediation and offered exactly what we were planning to offer and was done in 4 hours and only had to spend $550. Now I am in a huge $6k hole (nothing received for this money) and I should of done more research instead of doing what most people think is right(hire a lawyer who should have experience and knowledge) PLEASE do not waste your money or time with this firm. I feel like I definitely got conned out of $6k.
