After 4 months of physical therapy and stretching I wasn't seeing any significant improvement and still having pain with external rotation/overhead movements. I was told to check out Sports Performance + Spine. Booking an appointment was easy and they were able to see me as soon as that day. I met with Dr. Caitlin Jordan and she was able to diagnosis the problem right away and started treatment. After two sessions with Dr. CJ, I already have less stiffness/pain and a significant improvement in range of motion. 10/10 highly recommend checking them out! Great hours, super friendly and welcoming staff, very knowledgeable, and effective treatments.

She genuinely cares and listens thoroughly - that's rare to find when most of the time I was used to being funneled in and out of doctors offices with little face to face time - the fact that she cares so much already helped me to feel positive about my future with the changes made. It's about getting to the root and it gives me peace of mind knowing that this is an approach that I can maintain and build upon.

One detail I like, compared to other acupuncturists, is that while you're resting with the needles in she covers you with one of those first-aid blankets that look like super-fine tinfoil, so you stay warm but the blanket is super super light and places no pressure at all on the needles. Also, she does this amazing thing at the end where she covers your entire back with a hot compress soaked in Chinese herbal tea. You might as well be at the spa. What more can I say? Great stuff!

She has an incredibly low key, easy-going, friendly personality, and is very easy to work with. Some chiropractors are a little evangelistic in their approach, but this is DEFINITELY not Dr Marisa! She listens carefully to everything you tell her, and works with you in the way that you're most comfortable. (Ie, if you prefer activator, and hate "crunching", like me--she won't "crunch" you, unless absolutely necessary. ;)) She combines her chiropractic treatments (when necessary) with trigger point techniques, which, while not exactly comfortable, do provide almost instant pain relief for some conditions.
