I had stopped by The Jewelry Exchange in Boynton trying to get the clasp on my gold necklace fixed. Someone had tried to rip it off my neck while I was on vacation in Barcelona. It took Barry less than 5 minutes to fix it and then he told me I was free of charge. Very kind folks and Expert Service. 10/10 read more

I stopped into this jewelry exchange, and came across Barry's Jewelry Spa tucked in the many different booths. I bought a pair of earrings from them and asked him to fix a ring of mine that needed a new shank. I brought it on Saturday and he told me to pick it up on Tuesday. When I arrived on Tuesday he told me he hadn't gotten to it. He told me to come back at 4:00 p.m. which I did. When I picked it up, I didn't really look at it until I got home and had my glasses on. He had done a horrible job! I brought the ring back today and told him that it was unacceptable work, and asked him to fix it. He gladly agreed, and had my ring ready for me a few hours later. It is much better, but still not great. He also charged an astronomical price to do this, $150. My old jewelry used to do it for $40. I don't think I'll be returning here anytime soon. read more

I can't praise Barry and his family enough for the job. they did in designing an engagement ring setting using my mother's engagement ring and wedding band. My son wanted to give his now fiancée a beautiful but unusual setting. Barry and his family worked with me and my son, who lives in Colorado, to design a ring that he and his fiancee would love. They spent upwards of 10 hours working with us, and when the ring was completed,I loved it, my son loved it, and most importantly, my future daughter-in-law loved it. Super quick repair, phenomenal price, awesome experience. I also bought a leather watch band for myself, real leather, exceptional price. All work professionally done on-site. I highly recommend. Went to Boynton Beach location to have a missing accent stone replaced on my diamond wedding ring set. Replaced the small 3+ mm stone, and they suggested rhodium plating for additional $50. Then they pointed out that I was at risk of losing larger central/main diamond as I was "missing a prong" on the setting, which they suggested I get fixed as well. I was shocked to learn this, as I had worn this ring daily for over 10 years, and did not notice when this happened...all said and done, the ring was gleaming and I was happy when I left, feeling I had been proactive in securing the center stone. Less than one month later, after returning home from a grocery shop, I was washing my hands, and almost had a heart attack to discover the center stone was gone!! When I called them to advise them and ask if they might be able to work with me on a solution (e.g., a discount on purchasing a replacement stone), the wife got very defensive and started screaming at us on the phone, and said they are not responsible, and like a car showroom, one you drive it off the lot...(not their problem). Anyway, brought it to a "real" jeweler near me (as opposed to this exchange booth hack), who said the workmanship was horrible, and the proper way to secure the stone would have been to replace the entire head/prong setting. The cost to do that would be $175, which we did, in addition to having to purchase a new center stone! I would never let them touch another piece of mine, not even to change a watch battery! In addition, after expressing my concerns to Barry's, I was told they could not talk to me as they were "too busy", and Barry would call me back, which he never did. I went into Barry's to have a ring repaired. It needed a sliver of Mother-of-Pearl and to my delight, it was not considered too small a job. It was ready in a very short time and in the interim, I purchased a tattooed steel bangle AND a pair of gorgeous earrings( none of which I had intended :-)) which were specially ordered for me!
