I really love this place. I have never been much of a flower guy but I only live a block away so I stopped in one time because I saw the $15.99/Dozen Roses sign out front. There was a man and a woman working and they were both just the most pleasant people ever. Very welcoming, and very accommodating to my request. At florists I usually just name a price and ask them to whip up a little arrangement. I think it was $30, roses. Anyways I got 2 dozen in a BEAUTIFUL arrangement with the white accent flowers. I bought a vase they had on the shelf for like $5 a killller deal. I got a mixed arrangement one time and that was top shelf as well. The VALUE you get for your money here is incredible. I wouldn't ever go to any other flower place, I'd never get 1-800 FLOWERS.... There's no need when there is an incredible, small business such as Barretts operating in my town. Also noteworthy: the flowers stay fresh FOREVER at home so long as you don't let them dry out. read more

I really hate to give this negative review, but: last Thursday, I went to the shop and ordered a large bouquet to be made up for my sister's birthday on Saturday. The bouquet, vase, and tip came to $69.00. I picked up the flowers late Friday afternoon and gave them to my sister Saturday morning. I was at my sister's late Saturday evening and the bouquet was emitting a foul smell, and I noticed some of the flowers were already dead. I took the flowers out of the vase and placed them on the counter. The water in the vase had many leaves in it and smelled rotten. The portion of flowers that were submerged in water also had rotted leaves attached. Dead flowers, rotted leaves, and stinky water were cleaned out. Less than two days for a bouquet to become foul! The reason I hate to give this very negative review is because last year I got a bouquet here for my sister's birthday and it was the most beautiful and colorful bouquet both of us had ever seen ... and we are old people. read more

Yup. Have to agree with the person who just commented 3 days ago. I just happened upon this place a couple months ago and figured why not because they are on my route home. $3 for bouquets on the sidewalk. Now these aren't crap flowers. These are GORGEOUS FRESH FLOWERS for only $3 a bundle. And yes it is true: they last forever. I am not lying to you when I tell you that the last bouquet I had lasted WEEKS. In fact one of the stems only died a couple weeks ago. It literally lasted 6-7 weeks. Couldn't believe it. These are very high quality flowers at such a reasonable price. AMAZING QUALITY. And when you add in the fact it is a small local business, this is a win-win. As a small business owner, I absolutely love to support local businesses. And these friendly florists deserve all our business. Don't go to Shaw's or some other subpar florist...go here from now on. They're amazing. read more
