If you've ever done Barre in the USA then you may feel this is not as challenging. For sure it's less of a workout as it's less intense, but you're still moving and stretching all the parts that are so often forgotten and for me on this blistering hot day was an achievement. The instructor was inspiring, helpful, and kind. (wonderful to see him effortlessly go into ballet poses) And the class moved quickly, never boring. Half in french and english. I walk there and back to get a little "extra" in.
Good to know:
Change in-and-out-of your workout clothes at the studio (in Paris it's not cool to walk around in your sweaty workout stuff and if you do, I'll pretend not to know you) . Also, bring a small towel and/or water as they're not supplied at the studio. You can schedule and pay online via the App Mind Body rather than pay in person. There is of course a shower and locker room that has several hair dryers. Not sure about the locks, but it's OK to bring your bag into the studio and leave out of the way.
SOCKS are mandatory: If you have barre or yoga socks, bring them or any sock will do, no need for slippers.
