Fairly little vintage, but occassionally you can grab a real quality item at a bargain price here. Its a decently sized shop so there's quite a bit of choice. Besides the cause is straightforwardly sympathetic. read more

Makro is great for getting branded things cheap if you have a business. They send out a newsletter…read moreevery couple of weeks showing you what's on offer for dates coming up. You have to be quick sometimes if you want something though as they sell out quickly. Their food selection is great! They even have a butchery and fishmongers department so you can buy things fresh. Sometimes things are dearer than you can buy in high street shops so it's worth knowing the prices of things you want before going there. They even have a restaurant where you can sit down and have a cuppa or a meal, so well worth a trip out!

They stock organic, and fairtrade produce, there is a lot more here than can be found in most health food shops like Holland and Barrat. They are not strictly vegetarian and stock a nice range of organic/free range meat, as well as fresh veg and the usual meat/dairy/gluten free produce. They also have essential oils and skincare ranges. Some of the prices are a little steep, but you don't mind so much when you know where your food has come from!

At the till they don't pay attention to a costumer at all scaning the product so fast while they talk to someone on the mic and don't pay attention to their job that there is no time for costumer to pack it up if you ask them to slow down they get upset this is not alright at all i'm not spending my money that i'm working hard for to go there and be disrespected next time i'm going to speak to the menager if something like this going to happen again.

They are always having deals on fruit and veg, so you can try something different for 69p. I also love their selection of ham, cheese and pastries, so i buy posh bits like parmesan and parma ham for a lot less than other supermarkets. Their food is often authentic as well, and they have a lot of alternatives to leading brands such as their own range of Nobby's style nuts. Beware of queues here, as they tend to only have a few staff working at any one time.
I ordered a bird feeder and a huge bag of nuts to go with it, and I paid for express shipping. On…read morethe day that the order was dispatched, I received an email, stating that the bird feeder was unavailable and I was being refunded for the feeder. Therefore, I'd paid extra money to have a bag of peanuts delivered - some gift! To rub salt into the wounds, I looked again on the website, and the item was still for sale. Since I'd looked at the item, I got two follow-up emails that week telling me to return to the store and pick up what I'd left in the cart, even though it wasn't available! I wrote to customer service and didn't receive any kind of response - no attempt to make it right at all. I thought I'd do the right thing and support a local business. I won't make that mistake again. Amazon had a bird feeder to the recipient's house the next day without any issues. In short, either Trowell Garden Centre needs to step up their online business or just focus their attention towards on-site sales. Very disappointing.

Pizzas are good and my husband likes the fish counter. They have an instore pharmacy and bakery too. I dont drive so I like coming here cos the Metro Link stops right outside and I can hope it directly to town and get the bus home. Conveniently close to the tram stop, customers such as myself are able to stop off here on their way home from work. This makes it ideal for those without any other means of transport. The in store bakery supplies wonderful bread which the whole family enjoys, especially the tiger loaves which give off a lovely aroma. The fresh pizzas are another favourite of mine and are often on offer which makes them even more appealing. The deli section is well stocked, although you can tend to wait a while here to be served even with the ticket machine.
