This place is a scam! Save your time and money. Prior to scheduling an appointment, I called them to see if they accept my insurance and the OWNER said yes. When I came in for my visit, she took my $5 co-pay and insurance information. After my session, she indicated to me how my deductible had not been met and she needed to collect $85 out of pocket to meet the deductible. IMMEDIATE RED FLAGS went off as I told her I've been to many acupuncture places and this has never been an issue. Anyhow, I pulled up my credit card and immediately she tells me they're CASH ONLY. I never carry cash especially a larger amount! So I told her she should've told me about my insurance "issue" prior my session instead of afterwards and then saying they take cash only. I felt she was being shady so I purposely asked for a RECEIPT so I can call my insurance and verify what she said is true. Sure enough, my insurance said they're not supposed to collect a deductible fee. Dr. Kim has a very special machine that analyzes your energy levels and the functioning of your various chi meridians. Our bodies change from time to time and her special machine seems able to predict a physical problem that may occur a few months down the road. She kept asking me if I had any digestion problems based on the readout from the machine. I kept telling her I was fine. About a few months later I had to go to the doctor because of an acute case of diverticulitis. My adult son was asked if he had any problems with his blood pressure or spleen. He told Dr. Kim everything was fine. Six months later he was hospitalized and found to have a torn artery in his spleen. He was put on blood pressure meds and blood thinners and is still being monitored by the vascular surgeon. If you haven't seen Dr. Kim for awhile, you may want to go back in to get your chi levels checked. If my chi level is down she prescribes herbs and does needle treatments to fix the problem. I was recommended to Dr. Kim by my physician who happens to be in the same building as her. I have been dealing with chronic tension headaches and migraines for many years and thought I'd give acupuncture a try, as it has been at least ten years since I last went.
