Four of them were cooking up food. Plenty of picnic tables to sit at in the same park that hosts the annual October fest. They even had a folk singing duo which added to the ambience.

The market has multiple tomato types, peppers, peaches, okra, cantaloupe, and flowers. They will be growing lots of berries and different flowers in the up coming months. If you can make it to this market, you won't be disappointed. This spot feels much more personal than the tourist stands on the side of the road. Friendly dog on site as well.

Capital City Ceviche - they make Hawaiian poke just like back home in Hawaii. Since moving to Texas, that was something we haven't been able to find that is good. But here.....OMG the best! 2. JW Seafood - specifically when in season, the fresh oysters are amazing! 3. Prairie's Prairies- they have quality French pastries and baked goods. We love their scones, croissants, and their puffs....oh yum! 4. Goodie Dumplings- They make them fresh on site or have frozen to take home. They have everything from veggie, chicken, beef, pork, and seafood! This are so good. It is usually a snack while we walk around and then we take some to go to add to our ramen at home. They add a lot of vendors throughout the year which is fun! They have craft items as well which we have even bought a few items from those booths as well. BUT, the owner was still there and opened back up for us! Although the shop is obviously known for its variety of pecans in different flavors, they have a variety of jams, salsas and other goodies. My two favorite things are the Jalepeno peanut butter and the peach Jalepeno preserves. I eat the peanut butter on celery and it is the perfect snack. The peach jalapeño preserves are fantastic on Brie with crackers. Since I live over an hour away from the shop, I was so happy to discover I can order my favorites for delivery! The shop has a cute little pin board where visitors can mark their home town with a pin. It's a fun little shop with big flavor and hospitality.

This was the largest farmers market I have visited in the Austin metroplex specifically in Cedar Park, TX. The vendors were so numerous that you could scan the layout via QR code at the market's entrance. The Texas Farmer's Market had everything you could imagine including composting, regeneration (learned something new), bread, bakeries, meats, just to name a few. Quite honestly, I was overwhelmed initially. Then I paced myself. The market had regenerative eggs. I asked, "how do you get regenerative eggs?" Apparently, you regenerate the chickens by allowing them to roam more loosely and changing their location approximately every 3 days...fascinating stuff! Like any farmers market there were a ton of samples. Surprisingly, there were very few fruits and vegetables. When we lived in Bellevue, WA virtually all the farmers market had mostly organic fruits and vegetables. Service by the various vendors were rather friendly. Next time, I need to allocate more time for exploring. Huge farmer's market...

This year it has changed a bit. If you go volunteering on Friday you might be able to pick some for yourself. The rest goes to the farmers market to be sold on Saturdays. The actual farmers market has a bit of variety. It is a perfect Saturday morning activity if you want to be out in nature and away from the city The farm itself is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Small number of vendors overall not sure how compared to normal. Had a few craft vendors and seafood and meat sales. Majority of vendors seemed to have jarred goods such as jellies, butters, cukes and the like. I was a little disappointed at the lack of fresh fruit and veggies. Literally only one vendor that had any fresh veggies and the selection was quite sparse. We got there about 1030 and they open at 9 so possible things got picked over but unlikely. Will have to try another time and see if selection is better. Definitely worth a stop if in the area on a Saturday
