The cleanest pet groomer for dogs I've ever seen! The owner has allergies, so it's exceptionally and impeccably cleaned. Also, most of the work is done in the open and the dogs can move freely when they're not being groomed, except the bathing. Recently they added a dog daycare too. My dog has sensitive skin so they give her a medicated shampoo. She also needs regular grooming because she's a non-shedding breed (Airedale Terrier -- W00T terriers!). The prices are on par with other groomers, but they have a regular visit plan which is a great savings. My dog comes out looking and smelling great, and she's calm, which is a marked change from other groomers who crate the poochies when they're not being groomed. The first visit to this groomer should of been an indicator of what the owner was like. The owner has a serious attitude issue and seems to think because she has pictures of the Dog Whisperer on her wall that it gives her the right to be condescending and patronizing . Well I had a run in with her at a restaurant next door to her business. I ordered a pizza for take out and because of the construction around the neighbourhood was unable to find a spot anywhere near the restaurant . It was definitely AFTER business hours and didn't think it would be an issue . Well wrong I was !.... The owner came into the restaurant and barked at a server ( as if she would know anyone might be parked in her parking area)....." is one of you customers with a 4x4 truck parked in my lot?" .... I said to her it's me , I'm grabbing food to go" " I WILL HAVE YOU TOWED !"..... ....no problem, I'll move it.., so I did. Obviously she never realized I was a customer for hers.... WAS !!!!! Top notch caring professional pet spa.To say the very least this doggy spa owner is always on the go.Show,competitions ,recently Winnipeg Pet emporium.Where her hard work again paid of with best booth at the show. You can rest assured your pets safety and well being is first most on the minds of Tiffany , and her group of skilled girls.Never and i mean never have we ever dropped up our pet, and worried about his safety and treatment. Which is just one more reason we could never take our little guy any where else. Lastly the quality of and the artistry of the final product is head and shoulders above other shops in Winnipeg. I don't normally do reviews but I just had my dog groomed and it was like night and day between this company and the other one we ended up using. I was extremely disappointed with Barks N Bubbles. If I could of given no stars, I would of. Our one year old dog had never experienced a groomer before nor every been kenneled. So the anxiety level was very high. Although no fault to them, they could not groom our dog due to her anxiety of never been kenneled, or ever been groomed. I was told she bit one of the groomers while trying to kennel her, which is very likely but so out of character, thank goodness she did not break the skin. I do understand that she needed to be picked up from that point. What confuses me is the groomer we just had with ANOTHER COMPANY went EXTREMELY well, from hair trim, matt removal, ears cleaned, nails clipped, hair cut and bath. The new groomer we used said we can do baby steps if needed, but was not required. So my issue was the way everything was handled with the owner of Barks N Bubbles. She had my deposit and never gave it back, nor did she ever return my call. What a HUGE SCAM!!! The money was not the issue for me but the lack of care and lack of customer service the owner has. Never did she say we can do a bit at a time to adjust the dog to grooming, nothing was suggested other then going to a behavioral trainers. Plus I was told her level of excitement needed to be controlled, but the amazing groomer we used had her calmed down within minutes. No stars are warranted. Today I took my 12.5 yr old lab for a nail trim. I was the only customer there at the time. Tiffany put her in a tight noose on a table, which Marlie had never been on before. At the previous Corydon location a groomer simply had M stand on a mat while I helped hold her, offering cookies. While in the noose M fell off the table on the opposite side of where T was standing and was dangling from the tight noose. She shouted at her personable assistant and I ran through the gate to help poor M. T didn't like it when I placed 2 kibble bits on the table, suggesting that would help. With attitude T said it was her place and she "called the shots", ORDERING me back behind the counter. Stupidly I obliged. She unnoosed M and delivered her to me. I put her in the car, and upon returning I saw her chewing out her assistant who left crying. I calmly told T that I had been teaching agility for 17 yrs and sometime the students know more than me. I doubt she got it. I understand T has a big turnover in staff. No wonder. Please don't take your best friend there. read more

I have been going into this dog groomers to get my dogs nails clipped for a few months. A blond girl was doing, she did an awesome job. Went in today a different girl took him in the back heard him loud yelp. Thought she might have hit the quik . When they returned out of from the back , the young lady said the dog was hard to handle and she had to charge me an extra $5. I paid it left and noticed she did not even clip all his nails one paw completely. I will never go back there again. I would have I understood if she would have done the clipping out front. I am the proud owner of a dachshund and a rescue from up North who came to us frightened, filthy, full of mats and just terrified of having a bath. We had to drag her into Tiffaney's salon for her initial bath and nail trim. She was missing all her fur on both sides of her body as well as behind both ears. In consultation with Tiffaney we were told that due to her condition this fur may never grow back but I am happy to say that she now has a beautiful coat due to the tender loving care she has received at barks. Not only has her coat improved but her demeanor has improved as well , Tiffaney has gone above and beyond as she also worked with her in confidence building and socialization,, she truly is a master of her trade. This lady and her wonderful staff have total understanding of what it means to be a "DOG" and go out of their way to reassure and understand their little customers. As a dog owner over 40 plus years I would never take my babies to anyone else. I take my 2 small dogs in for monthly grooming, so they never have to be shaved. Barks asks me to bring the dogs in in the morning and not pick them up til closing. The past few times I have arrived at closing and the dogs were not ready. This last time, I had to sit in a restaurant next door for 20 mins as they hadn't even started my dogs. 20 minutes later I arrived to find them both shaved to the skin. They used the excuse that the dogs had knots, and then had the nerve to charge me extra for shaving them. Neither's nails were clipped, and one of my dogs developed kennel cough after this visit. As my dogs do not leave my property except to go there, I have no choice but to believe she got the kennel cough there. I will never return. read more

They are often irritable with the dogs. They need more patience and gentleness with the dogs. They often do a sloppy job on the nails and an uneven job cutting the coat. Other times they do a great job. read more
