I can't remember the last time we all sat down for a meal together. The outdoor space was relaxing. The addition of a new blackstone griddle in the back made cooking up big breakfasts fast and easy. The proximity to the beach made trips back and forth to from the house to take a toddler to the bathroom, fix lunch, or run back to grab something quick made for a stress free week. The hosts were incredibly accommodating even though we hardly ever saw them. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The weather was great..even with the complimentary downpour day to let the skin come off sizzle mode..just perfect. We were a large family group... family coming in from NY, NM, Ca and Germany. We pushed the limits in space but with the backyard patio area, rooftop hot tub soaking deck (special accolades to that), the ocean so close and so many places you could walk, bike, paddle to we never at all came to in your face situations... which we all know with family is usually inevitable. We wanted to do something special for our Mom (Omi) for her birthday so we took Mary Ann and Tom's referral and hired the caterer that they suggested... we did a luau theme and they came to the house with the pig roast complete with Hawaiian veges and salads. I for one was amazed that we actually surprised her but I do believe we really pulled it off. We were initially hesitant to rent because of landowners sharing the same house..but we started our search late and there weren't many options to accommodate our large group so we took the chance. Couldn't have been any farther from the fears we had to reality. Always friendly and helpful.. never intrusive or controlling. By the time we left it felt like we were leaving old friends.... the hot donuts Mary Ann brought us from an old time LBI donut shop, the morning before we left sealed the deal! Our family grew up summers in LBI..staying with friends that owned and/or our family renting for weeks at a time. I think I can speak for our family in saying we came home that week. A wonderful magical place in our memories. Lucky me got to share it with my granddaughter while my Mom (Omi) is still with us and oh so big a center of our family. 4 generations of LBI addicts.... what better place to enjoy family!

Ward Realty is the reason why this site should have 0 stars…read more If you want an honest company that will abide by their contract, do not look here. In 2022 we booked our Point Pleasant Beach rental through Ward. The dump that we stayed at is 4 Pilgrim Pathway. The rental was extremely misrepresented by Ward. When we arrived the house was damp & musty and had a horrible smell. We reported this to Ward immediately. They really didn't seem to care. We spent half of the very hot week with the windows open (no AC) to try to get the smell out. While staying there we followed every rule, thoroughly cleaned, and left the house in the exact shape that we found it. Our feedback about the rental was obviously not well reveived by the owner of 4 Pilgrim Pathway, the one who called the house immaculate & updated, which is was neither. On the contrary it was old and stale with outdated furniture, yet Ward still listed it as the opposite. Supposedly the owner of the house threw some accusations about the house being a mess (it was not) and was complaining that there was garbage in the barrel (the trash had been picked up midway through the week, so of course there was trash from the rest of the week. It was bagged and put outside in the barrel. The rental owner decides to hold a large sum of the security deposit. Ward's contract clearly states when part of the security deposit is withheld, "Owner must send written notification to Ward Realty itemizing any charges to be claimed." This did NOT happen. Ward neglected to let us know, neglected to ask us our side of the story, and even worse, broke their own contract by never even checking pictures or getting a written itemized list. They just got a phone call and took their word, and took my money. They made me sign a contract that I had to adhere to, yet they did not. They also did not hold the rental owner to their contract. They got paid by me, and as such they were working for me and representing me in this rental, yet never did their due diligence. To me Ward Realty are a bunch of criminals. I am not alone thinking this either. Read some of the other Yelp reviews. I wish I had before I went with them. Believe me, ANY house that Ward has listed for rent, is also listed by 3 other reputable rental companies. (pics are to prove that I really was a Ward customer, and really stayed at 4 Pilgrim Pathway - which was horrible)

There was a rotten shrimp stench as soon as we walked in the door, a multitude of flies buzzing around. We continued to uncover more grime, months worth of dust was built up on the vents, hardened food on the silverware and the fridge smelled awful as well. We spent 3 hours trying to clean it to be sanitary enough to stay then we looked at our feet and they were black from the grime on the floor so we left. Don't waste your time with these clowns, drove 5 hours to go on a vacation just to have to turn around and go home.
