I put my son in Montessori for half day when he was 3 years old. Upon enrolling him into the school…read morethe school was made aware there was some speech issues that he was taking classes for but would also need patience from his teachers. I was assured this was not an issue in fact the school had their own speech therapist ( my son never met this person nor did I. I don't actually know if the school had a speech therapist because every attempt to start him with the therapist was met with a reason to reschedule by the school.) my son was fully potty trained when starting at the school he knew how to ask to use the restroom and how to ask for help if he needed it. He got sick one day while In their care and was left to wear his clothes that he had an accident in he came home soiled with a rash from not being change into the extra clothe I had provided. He was only there for 3 hours they did not notify me he was sick nor did they take any action to help my son. He was expected to do it all on his own. After that incident my son went back for about another week then started to cry every time we would even drive down Bardstown road in fear of sister pat ( his teacher) he couldn't tell me anything else. I called to ask if there was something else that happened and even asked to move him classes and was told no, I was assured he was just still trying to adjust and to give it time, thank god I went with my gut and pulled him out. When I called back (that same night) to pull him out of the program was then told the truth and offered to have him moved classes. I was told sister pat and my son had "an argument" about how he washed his hands with he soap first and not the water then she yelled at him and told him he needed to "learn how to speak" There's no telling what else happened I will never know. I trusted my child with these people and was lied to about how he was being treated. They made every effort to keep my money but they didn't try to help my son until they realize I was serious about pulling him out. If you are thinking About putting your kids in This school go in on a week day with out any kid seeing you and see how many of these preschoolers are actually happy to be there compared to how many are absolutely miserable. Then compare it to Nelson count early leaning center or Bardstown head start and you'll see the difference in paying a lot of money to put your kids in a place that doesn't actually care about them vs. a public school full of people who actually care about your kid.
