It took my children and I a very long time to even get appointments. I booked appointments about 3 months out. The medical staff was really great with my children and all their questions. Wasn't real impressed with the front desk. Overall it was an OK visit and we were all able to get our glasses. read more

14 years ago my children were adopted by my husband. Everywhere else in the medical community, this is accepted. Even though the sperm donor that gave me my wonderful twins left them, didn't want them, didn't want to pay for them, for 14 years he's been too lazy to take them off of his insurance (though amazingly enough he stopped the child support payments as soon as the court order went through!). At Bard Optical, they refuse to see this. They keep billing his insurance, which bounces back because her last name is different now - you know, cause she was legally adopted! - this ONLY happens at Bard Optical. If we go to Lens Crafters, if we have no issue. If we go to the doctor - no issue. If we go anywhere that uses insurance, they all seem to get that her last name is not the same name that my sperm donor had. So we will not be going back to Bard. They wanted to overcharge us because they can't seem to fathom that an adopted child would not have the same name as they did at birth. Who'd figure that! While the staff is friendly, the service is shit when it comes to this. I've tried giving them chance after chance to fix this and they simply refuse to update their systems so they can bill properly by using her proper last name, Davis, not Hastings. read more

I do not recommend! I ordered a 6 month supply of contacts ($200). I opened the package when received, only to find several for one eye and only a few for the other eye. When I called, the first girl admitted their mistake and said they had to get back to me with a resolution. Then Steve called; He was VERY condescending and said it was my fault for opening the box. When I told him I had no way of knowing the order was wrong without opening the box, he said it was still my fault and they weren't going to do anything. He kept telling me I got what I paid for and I told him although that may be true, that wasn't what I ordered. Apparently their philosophy is to send you anything they want and you have to pay for it. I've filed a complaint with the corporate office, but if Steve is representative of their staff, I absolutely do not recommend them! read more
