I just have to do this even though it's a UK problem.
We have had a banking relationship with London, Barclays since 2006. A business banking relationship. Their security systems require authentication-- special devices for your computer, special cards to be inserted, password and dual people to make a transfer, wire or do payroll.
Now you would think with all the hooha over security today banks would be leading edge? Apparently not so here. I use an Apple MacBook. The bank is still on OS 12! Well it won't accept the security device and card reader because they haven't updated their OS despite all the security patches done since version 12. I had our finance director call the non tech line after the Tech folks said there was no immediate plan to support OS 13.
Here's my Finance Dir note to me:
I talked to the relationship manager at Barclays. Told her we're going to switch banks if they don't fix the issue. Her response was "sorry we can't do anything about it so do what you have to do for your business"
I wonder if the CEO knows or even cares he has people like this working for him?
Boo! This stinks. Needless to say we are now switching- which I have to do in person. read more
