In fact I think the building itself is an old railway shed or something similar. There's a lot of old furniture, tables, chairs etc - but the goods on sale change all the time so you never know what you're going to stumble across. The prices are very good I reckon - we recently bought a set of four oak dining chairs from them for £40 - and the service is very friendly.

It's situated towards the bottom end of Staithe strert and is an old-fashioned hardware and ironmongers that sells just about every non-food related item you could possibly think of. From DIY equipment and tools to fishing tackle, airguns and knives, from beach equipment, balls, toys and kites to mops, buckets and pots and pans - Walsinghams has the lot. It's spread over two floors and the amount of gear they pack in there is phenomenal. What's particularly impressive is the prices they charge for things - it's all excellent value. They also sell coal and logs if you looking for these.
