Ruined my hair. I…read morewas at the salon for 10 hours, and bleach was left on my hair for about 4 hours before being rinsed. My hair is now severely damaged. It's stringy, breaking, and it won't even fully dry. My hair has been damp for 2 days. I did not get what I asked for. I brought examples of honey brown and explained I had been able to get caramel before but would like to go a little lighter. Stylist said she focused more on the highlights and did a "pearl" color. My hair is GREY. I hate it. The stylist offered to "fix it", but I'm not comfortable having her work on my hair again after how damaged she left my hair already. I might have to CUT off INCHES of dry, broken & damaged ends off to salvage my hair.

I walked in at around 9:15 and was taken right in. Three barbers were on duty so there was no wait…read more A couple other fellows came in right after me and by the time I was done, both of THEM were being served too! So yes, Virginia, these folks do seem to work efficiently! There are about six or so chairs in the shop, and each has a name over it, so I'm sure they means they have an equal number of barbers working there. Mine turned out to be Sharon, a lovely middle aged lady who seems to know her way around a set of clippers and scissors. She actually appears to be the owner's wife. I usually get a buzz cut, and Sharon did a fantastic job of ensuring evenness, a good clean up and even took care of my eyebrows. She took the trouble to show me a sample cut of the closest guard she had just north of totally bald...I was looking for exactly that! The shop itself is good sized as one may presume from the number of chairs/stations in there. The shelf above all the mirrors is loaded with replica NFL helmets, giving the shop a real mannish/manly feel without being phony or over the top. Very clean too, as the owner was going around with broom and dustpan to each station as a cut was finished. Owner himself is a pleasant fellow; somewhat quiet but still affable. He "warned" me that they're cash only too. So please note, gentlemen: if you wanna try this spot, it IS cash only. Buzz cut that I got was $15, which is VERY reasonable these days. The rest of their price list is equally reasonable too. All in all, I find myself quite pleased with the shop, the staff AND the experience overall. I received a high quality haircut that beats near anything and everything I've gotten in the nine years since moving here. I highly recommend Pete's...so much so that I'll never look for another barbershop again!

This is a barber for people who want to express a bit of personality in their look. Gregarious and funny the vibe she projects is a relaxed one with an emphasis on detail to her craft. My first experience was filled with attention to exactly the look I wanted and I got exactly that. My hair is down to my shoulders and I wanted a woman to cut it. It went from the perfect length but a shaggy mop to the perfect length with a bit of style. She took extra time to get the one detail I particularly wanted, cut to allow for a good ponytail for work. I left satisfied that I'd found a regular place to get my hair in shape. I'll be back.
