Upon admitting a friend to this facility we were told that I could call for status updates. I am…read moreher acting Medical Power of Attorney & Patient Advocate. A Release of Information was signed for me to obtain updates on her status. Since her arrival, I've called every day trying to obtain a status update. Not once have I received a return phone call. I provided the necessary patient ID #, which you are to provide when calling. This was pretty useless. My friend was a voluntary admit on a 72 hour hold. Documents were signed for her to be released at the appointed 72 hours. Be forewarned. If you choose to be admitted on a Voluntary 72 hr hold make sure you sign the 72 hour release documentation upon admit. It will take two physicians to declare you "Mentally Stable" in order to be released. Don't overlook this documentation. The patient, my friend was to be placed in the detox unit. When I finally was able to speak to her I was told she was on the psychiatric ward. This is unacceptable. She witness incidences she should not have. She is non-confrontational. During a group session inpatients were confrontational. She bowed out and went back to the safety of her room. Later, when she was asked why she left the group she told them she "does not do confrontation". This was an appropriate reaction from my friend. I'm not sure where the communication breakdown is, but it needs to be addressed. While I am aware that can be very overwhelming for personnel to attend to inpatient needs, it is their responsibility to keep loved ones informed. I have been a patient advocate for many years. I'm well aware of how to navigate the healthcare system and well-versed in what the laws are. I believe facility needs to improve their communication efforts and/ or be held accountable.

Ann makes that process much less daunting. She is accepting and understanding while still encouraging me to question and challenge those ingrained behaviors that got me here. After speaking with Ann, I feel supported and empowered. It hasn't always been easy but it has totally been worth the work!

I was referred to this location after not being able to get into my original referral. My original…read morereferral was so sweet and kind and went out of her way to help me even though she wasn't taking new clients. The first place was also not taking new clients, so I ended up here. Maybe it was a clue when my wife and I were so quickly and easily worked into the schedule. You know the old thing that if a restaurant parking lot is empty there is probably a reason. Well after setting up marriage counseling we ended up having to do 2 sessions individually due to baby sitters canceling. After my session my wife went and came back pretty upset and angry. Come to find out, just after one session the advise the therapist gave her was to get out of the relationship, never mind the 3 children and never mind the fact we were there to work on things not get referred to divorce lawyers. I don't have a lot of experience with therapist but I am pretty sure that unless they are God they have no way to make any suggestions like that after a single session. Maybe some of the counselors there are better but if you get stuck with Suzanne Kelley my advice is to run away. Finding another therapist or even not going will be much better for you.

They did NOT send her home with her correct meds. After numerous phone calls to get help finally they sent in her scripts only to be the WRONG ones. They did NOT set her up for success leaving the facility. She is going to meetings but we have not gotten meds straight. All we need is for here to have what she needed to succeed. On a side note I did have to call her councelor about another issue and she came througth for that. I would love to recommend them whole heartedly but they need help in the back end of recovery.

I was sexually abused and…read moreshe thought i t was funny, i didn't know for the longest time until the support group i was going to where a lot of people do discuss a doctor or a therapist they see. This person was looking for a new therapist and during the her case time she mentioned she belong to our support group and tiffany ask did she know me. And she said yes she did and then tiffany shared what happened to me in great detail and how funny she thought is was. I must say this girl was shaken and so was i when this out because you trust someone like this and they think it funny and can share your tale of pain as a joke. I found out because the girl told the group facilitator what Tiffany had shared about my personal life. I think it should be crime for some to do this to others. You go to them for help and they charge you so they can tell your story as a joke i guess thats why she left ohio and the Northeast Ohio Behavioral Health where she use to work in ohio. I would never trust her with any part of my life, she will never help you one bit
