I have received accommodations before in college and provided my previous documentation. The response I received from Farah Assefnia, who works there as administrative office, was very brief, rude, and dismissive -- saying that they don't participate in that kind of service. When I followed up to ask if they have an age limit or don't serve adults, she simply said there is no age limit, however, they won't be able to provide documentation for college accommodations. Farah treated me poorly. Their website mentions "Support Services & Accommodations," so this was very unclear and disappointing. It was never specified if they specialize in accommodations for workplace, college students, high school students, middle school students, or elementary school students. I felt discriminated, disrespected, and dismissed. If they don't offer this service, a polite explanation and a referral to another clinic who has experience providing documentation and accommodations would have been the professional thing to do. I would not recommend this center to anyone who is a person of color, college students, young adults, or disabled individuals looking for support seeking support or accommodations. Farah Assefnia's response showed a complete lack of customer service skills. McLean Counseling Center needs to train their staff better or hire people who know how to treat clients with basic respect. They also need to update their website to specify what "Support Services & Accommodations" actually means.

I'm being contacted so frequently that it has become overwhelming and frustrating rather than helpful. On top of that, I canceled two appointments within the required cancellation window, yet I am still being charged a copayment that I had already paid. Between the excessive communication and the billing issues, my experience with LifeStance has been extremely disappointing. At this point, I am seriously considering ending my therapy services, not because of my therapist, but because of the poor experience I've had with LifeStance's administrative and customer service practices.

In a second session, he was running late and asked us to wait in his room while he walked the other couple out. While waiting, he had a white board up that detailed notes from their session. He talked a lot about himself and his partner's personal problems. In another visit, while waiting in the living room -- this is their personal house -- his partner and her sister (who was visiting) came in to talk to me and asked about the problems I was having with my partner, reclined on the sofa next to me and began to talk about her relationship with Chris, the therapist. He's technically licensed but his methods are not standard, and potentially dangerous. We stopped seeing him as he seems to have boundary issues himself, and ongoing problems with his current relationship that spill into the counseling sessions because these occur in their home and he talks them through in the sessions you are paying for. An odd couple -- you'll see she wrote reviews on his behalf below -- and experience.
