My neighbor had called before her policy ended and her new policy was to begin. She terminated her Geico policy because Geico raised her 6 month policy twice in 1 year to $1000 for 6 six months. She is 89 and lives on a small monthly pension and her driving record is clean with no traffic tickets and no accidents. Geico even threatened to send the collection agency after her, which would ruin her credit record over $9.99. So, if you are looking for auto insurance and you enjoy watching Geico commercials on television, make sure you ask about Geico's terminating policy before you purchase their auto protection. I wouldn't want anybody to agonize over unjust billing or to be threatened with a collection agency.
