To say that BARaWINO is a wine bar would be an understatement. It's an elegant, high-end restaurant and wine shop that differs greatly from a simple joint serving fermented grape juice.
BARaWINO belongs to a network of venues and shops branded with the image of Marek Kondrat - renowned Polish actor and connoisseur of wines.
I happily discovered that it's not only an image of a place where they "supposed to" now something about wines - it is in fact a real thing, where you can ask about this nice bottle on the shelf and you will get not just an answer, but a story.
Wines are, of course, great. But the food is just delicious. The dishes are tapas-like, though not very small, so you should be satisfied with three plus some bread. And they are exquisite! Grilled octopus that is extremely fresh, hot and visually pleasing patatas bravas and simple pastry that makes you want to order another portion. Surprising element was an inventive take on a blood sausage (kaszanka). I know what you think - some awful piece of BBQ sausage in such a classy place? Not really. But try some yourselves, I don't want to spoil it for you.
Elegant, romantic, a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. My personal recommendation. read more
