Thanks to Yelp, I was able to find a local sandwich shop about two blocks away. I quickly trotted over to the street and climbed the 60 or so steps to reach the street where it was located.
This little yet charming restaurant had a line of about 10 customers deep. I got in line and was anxiously waiting to see what my options were inside. Once inside the team of three was bustling about to make sure all the customers were being helped. What stood out to me right away was the Focaccia. It was impressive to see and looked amazingly delicious. It was like a siren, calling to me even though I do not usually eat cheese. The pastrami sandwich also looked good as well. I would have not partaken in consuming it but considering how horrible our experience was with the brasserie on the Vieux Port, I decided on getting that sandwich as a backup for my two accompanying diners.
I asked for my order to go and paid. I carried my load of sandwiches like a soccer player who won the World Cup, proud and triumphant.
The service was incredible, the flavors were all present, and the prices were affordable. I highly recommend this sandwich shop and skip all brasseries on the Vieux Port.
