When I first started visiting, they were located in small cozy building on Hopland. You had to have a bit of luck if you wanted to enjoy your coffee inside and even more luck to find space in the garden. But now, on the Mechelsesteenweg, there is a lot more space! And a variety of spaces. On the first floor you can sit close to the baristas or choose to sit in the back room filled with comfy chairs and couches. And on the second floor you have an open area with tables and can work on a project, enjoy the view, or chat with a friend. In addition to enjoying your cup of coffee, you can also buy beans roasted by Caffènation to enjoy at home. They offer espresso, filter, and decaf blends. For 32 euros you can buy a sampler of 6 to try out what they have to offer!

We're not coffee connoisseurs by any means, but a good cup of coffee is a good cup of coffee. Cuperus serves a good cup of coffee (& chai!). We ended up here on our last day in Antwerp, as it was literally around the corner from the Airbnb we were staying in (also included this info on the Airbnb review!). There was 1 guy working, who was h.a.n.d.l.i.n.g-i.t. We bought several bags of coffee to bring home with us & have been enjoying Cuperus ever since!

Stop here if you need a good coffee - 5 star recommendation Edit: sorry but after also visiting the bathroom I feel like I have to deduct a point because it is poorly maintained and kind of gross. Sure it doesn't impact the coffee, but there are places that do make the effort to keep bathrooms clean and it wouldn't be fair to disregard that effort.

In A Nutshell:…read more -Butcher's Coffee in Antwerp is a cozy little coffee shop to grab a cup of joe & a small breakfast. -I enjoyed stopping by a couple times during my short stay in town. -The staff was always very friendly & accommodating. -Seating is limited, but if you can secure a place to chill, you will feel most comfortable. -I usually started my day ordering an espresso. -I also tried their deliciously satisfying Breakfast Burger which had a homemade bun, egg, bacon, cheese, chipotle chutney & guacamole. Come in and taste amazing good Doppio Espresso's & Cappuccino's or try one of the homemade Cakes more into filter coffee? They regulary change filter coffee's and will make you coffee on V60, Aeropress, Chemex or their standard Kalita. One of the only places in Antwerp where you can get Cascara . they are going to organize Coffee Cuppings on a regular base. Wonder what a cupping is? be welcome at the bar and ask for the next event.
