Clean and brilliant and 4 blocks from a Roman outpost of ruins and archeological site of impressive construction called Liternum. Unfortunately much of the site was destroyed by repurposing the original materials by construction from the 18th century on. The beaches and view, if you can see it is impressive, but limited by commercialization of lido's, or beach hotels with private access. There is no requirement in Naples to allow public access. It is a primo beach with clean water, decent sand and awesome 180 degrees of views of the island of Ischia to the south and Gaeta to the north. And lower Roma(Lazio). Imagine walking down a small street to pass by a restaurant with no sign on the outside. My wife and I arrived around eight (silly Americans) to be scolded by the cutest old lady telling us to get out that she wasn't ready yet. We were eventually cordially invited inside where you walk into a little kitchen. My wife's grandmother lives in Italy and she always says she won't go to restaurants because she can't see the kitchen. Well I think this solves that issue. We were sat at a table in the back. Being that we didn't speak Italian did make this off the beaten path/ non-tourist restaurant a little difficult but we managed. It was a multi course meal that I believe must have been from heaven. The appetizers were delicious followed by the most delicious veal that I've ever encountered. My wife almost had a heart attack at the chocolate desert. We liked this place so much that we came back a second night to repeat it all over again. If you are traveling or live in Naples (Napoli) this is a place you MUST go too. We were shocked to find such a gem in this town known for crime but it really was the best meal we had our entire trip.

We almost walked by because there was no signage but had to wait to get in because like Americans we wanted to eat earlier and most Italians like to eat later at night. This place was your quintessential "hole in the wall" restaurant and boy did it live up to the recommendation. Language barrier be darned our hosts made sure that we had the full gamut of what they had to offer. The antipasti was so great I could've eaten plates of just that. The dishes that followed left me wanting more and more. The pasta was some of the best I've ever eaten - and my family is from and still lives in Italy. The buffalo mozzarella was some of the best cheese ever. The chocolate dessert made my night! GO HERE. EAT HERE. Be glad you did.
