We had the crunchy vegetable starter with a soft cheese on bread that was incredibly flavorful. The filet was outstanding and came with a tangy mustard sauce that I alternated with the plate's au jus - just delicious. It looks fresh and very well kept, with a beautiful fountain in the middle. The owners, Francis and Delphine, are very friendly and you can see the passion in their eyes. The food was simply delicious. Their specialities are traditional French food and pizza in a stone oven. We had the "cotelettes d'agneau" with "gratin dauphinois" and the "Entrecote a la crème et aux champignons", both tender and very tasty . To finish up, we had homade profiteroles that were to die for!!! You HAVE to eat there if you are passing by. You will not be disappointed.

Recently renovated, its lovely and clean inside and very importantly for rural France the toilets are clean and modern! The menu is short and accessible. One or two dish of the day, a selection of salads and pizzas and a couple of fish and meat dishes. The staff are LOVELY and everything is made in the restaurant and is delicious. It is also very reasonable. 2 mains, 2 desserts and a bottle of wine came out at less than €40. The salade chevre chaud is to die for and this is a lot coming from someone who had that as their only veggie option for 3 years living in Paris and doesn't even like goats cheese! My better half had both the gambas and the salmon and he loved them both.

We had scallops avocado and orange salad, and salted cod with mashed potatoes, aoli, tomato coulis and vegetables. The cod was artfully presented. Each accompaniment was separate on the plate but all mixed and matched together well as one wished. The house white wine was tasty. The scallops were perfectly cooked and the salad was lightly dressed. Each table is given their own olive oil, sea salt, balsamic mister, and pepper grinder to additionally dress salad or bread. Service is typical French, not hovering or rushing the diner. Price for the two entrees plus 25 cl. of wine was only 39 E or about $44.
