It turns out the company blocked me from their social website for indicating discrimination under the Ontario Human Rights Act. They discriminate potential customers based on age and status. They discriminate potential customers wearing COVID-19 masks and follow the customer in and around their showroom without acknowledging their presence. They dismiss potential customer inquiries all together and do not conduct the necessary follow ups as indicated by the customer. I visited their showroom at the end of 2023 requesting for a writing desk with specific dimensions. As a result, the associate or owner I conversed with insisted he would follow up regularly. All communication ties were cut after my initial visit and made a conscientious effort to stay in touch with them. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ORGANIZATION TO THE COMMON CUSTOMER. CLEARLY, THEY DESIRE SPECIFIC CUSTOMERS SUCH AS INTERIOR DESIGNERS AND THEIR CLIENTELE. AS A MARKETING INSIDER WHO HAS TRAINED AND OFFERED SOUND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR MANY COMPANIES, "PLACE PEOPLE OVER PROFITS FIRST!!!" SUCH A SHAME THAT CANADIAN COMPANIES DISCRIMINATE YET USE BUZZWORDS SUCH AS "BUY LOCALLY, SPEND LOCALLY!" TO LURE THE CANADIAN CONSUMER TO SPEND. SUCH A PITY!!!!

I contacted EMCO Bridgeland initially to seek professional advice. I provided photos of my…read morefaucet/handle issue and asked their staff to help me identify the correct part needed for repair. My communication was handled by Mahin Anand, Sales & Operations Manager. Based on the photos and my explanation, he recommended that I purchase a specific replacement part. I relied on this professional recommendation and proceeded with the purchase. However, after receiving the part, it became clear that it was not needed for my situation. The issue could have been resolved with a minor adjustment rather than purchasing an expensive component. This raised serious concerns for me about the accuracy of the product guidance I was given. Payment of $108.42 was completed on January 22, 2026. Only after the payment was processed did I receive documentation stating that the item was non-returnable. This condition was not clearly disclosed to me beforehand. In my opinion, if an item is non-returnable, this information should be communicated clearly and prominently before payment is taken, not afterward in fine print. The part was returned and has been in the company's possession for approximately two weeks. Despite this, no refund has been issued. I find this situation very disappointing -- both in terms of product advice and transparency of return policies. I hope the company improves its communication practices with customers in the future.

We decided to check a couple of places on eglinton and we were even more surprised as to their costs. I was on errands with the cushion and fabric in the car when I saw George Tracey from the road. I thought I would give it a try. Boy was I impressed. The owner asked to come to my home to see how the cushion fit into the space. I offered a deposit but he said because I had the fabric and cushion it was not needed, but he did let me know he only takes cash. Within a week he called (six days actually) and I went to pick up the cushion covers and it looked great. A pleasure to recommend George Tracey and recommend highly. Reasonable, fair, and great craftsmanship.
