Well, maybe it is just something strange with Dusseldorf, even though the two bigger cities that I visited didn't anywhere near as many Irish pubs as did Dusseldorf. Well, maybe it has something to do with the lack of things to do in Dusseldorf so everybody goes out to the pubs. Anyway, this is another nice Irish pub, but since I have already visited our others, it was difficult to distinguish it from the others. Personally I liked it, but that had something to do with it being quiet.

A sports bar with pictures of football players on the walls…read more There is a dart board and the main drinks are Konig Pilsner, Schlussel Alt and many many Schnapps options. The bartender spoke scarily good English. I reckon if I'd spoken to them any longer I'd have soon realised they were completely fluent. I dropped the ashtray on the floor which made a very loud noise. And then I looked suitably embarrassed.

The bartender recommended a lovely white wine for me, the others drank German beer. Our waitress was lovely and helpful with the menu. The soups were delicious as were the garden salads. Entrees were generous portions. My chicken schnitzel was delicious. Everyone else raved about their dinners also. A great ending to our stay in Düsseldorf.

Basically this is a random bar that I visited while I was in Dusseldorf, and with all of the bars…read morethat I have visited you start being seeing them as being all the same. Well, I was going to say that it was just another Dusseldorf Bar, but since I have been forced to think about this place my memory has come back and I realised that it is actually a pretty divey bar. Not that that is a bad thing because not all dive bars are actually bad bars, but they certainly don't jump out and grab my attention either. The bar itself is rather small, and due to the rain I found myself squashed up the back with a beer. It wasn't bad, but not hugely flash either.
