deserves a Zero. as a Registered Nurse I am embarrassed of the care my grandson and SIL received on 11/24. My grandson had diarrhea and vomiting (severe) along with SIL committing. They were there for approximately 30 min. Did useless Covid test, that you can have done for free elsewhere, a strep test , with No symptoms of strep and a flu test.all negative. Said didn't know what was wrong, gave zofran for home. Their bill in excess of 2700$, for Zofran. i will report this overpriced visit to insurance and other forms of media! Insurance covered only half, which makes me question, if this Baptist urgent care charged customary fees? read more

Awful experience. They charged me $1200 for an EKG and finger prick for glucose only to tell me they couldn't help me. Furthermore, they proceeded to reprimand me for not coming in sooner. Why? You couldn't help me anyway. Go across the street to Jackson urgent care and stay away from here. Just an FYI, Baptist charges at least 3x as much as other hospitals and they don't discount no matter how much you ask. read more

My daughter had a test done at the Baptist Children's Diagnostic Center. Registration went smoothly. Staff at the front desk are helpful, friendly and fast. The MRI tech. was concern about my daughter's comfort and answered all our questions. The test was performed in a professional manner. The facility is clean and easy to find your way around. Went in to get checked out because I have been getting severe pain on my left side for over a week and have been constipated for more than 3 days. As soon as I tell the nurse what is going on she immediately stops me and says "It's just muscular, I get it sometimes and I deal with it" as if she knows what I have been going through these past few days. The doctor saw me and told me to go to the ER. As we were leaving the nurse hands us a paper and says "It's just muscular but whatever". Super unprofessional. You are a nurse not a damn doctor. Legit has no reason to give me her opinions because #1 I never asked and #2 you're just a nurse not a doctor. read more

This season of life has brought two things all over my social media feeds: pregnancy announcements and unbelievable hospital tales. When faced with major back pain, I was nervous to become another post dissing nurses + doctor - it's just not my style. Given where I live, I had the choice of going to Jackson South (where last time they wrote my sisters symptoms on a NAPKIN) or a Baptist Urgent Care. Figured I try the Urgent Care. Something that irks me, is when a place is empty, you're waiting, and yet it sounds like a Friday at Chillis when drinks are 2 for 1 behind the closed doors. But let's give everyone the benefit of the doubt and say they can work and talk. I waited for 40 minutes in an empty waiting room. But that was the worst part - once inside, everything went smoothly and quickly. It's clean, top notch equipment, and they were able to perform a CT scan within an hour of me being there. They close at 11, and unfortunately for me, my CT scan didn't show any results as to what could be causing my pain. So it's frustrating to go somewhere hoping to get answers and leave with none. They didn't have anymore they could do for me because well, it was closing time. So maybe it would've been best to go to an ER. But knowing all my organs are a-ok did provide peace of mind. I also love how they didn't try to sugarcoat anything by making up what I "maybe" had and simply said I should check out a chiropractor. So if you live in the area, I'd definitely recommend going to Baptist's Urgent Care over Jackson South. read more

I have had the pleasure of visiting this location twice. The first time, my father was having chest pain. I'm not a doctor but EVEN I KNOW that chest pain trumps a lot of things. "Sit down and fill out these forms," was the response from the not-so-lovely receptionist. As I filled out the forms, my father told me he was getting dizzy and I decided to ignore that c*** and push my way into the back. Long story short, he had a heart attack and was transferred to Baptist Hospital were he would have stents put in. Three years later, his life is still affected by what happened that day and the lack of attention we received. On a later occasion, I was having a headache that did not go away. I had to be PERSUADED to go because I had plenty of reservations about this place. I explained that on a scale from 1-10 my on-again-off-again headache was a 2. The staff decided they needed to transfer me to the hospital immediately for a brain scan... These people have an interesting notion of what's important and what isn't. I decided that at 10 p.m. I did not want to spend my night in a hospital waiting room. I was forced to sign 20 pages of consent that stated I was choosing to leave on my own against medical counsel. In addition, I had to pay $50 because someone took my blood pressure and my ass heated up one of their chairs. I will seek medical help elsewhere in the future. Be advised, they have terrible customer relations and are disrespectful to patients. read more

Today, I waited over 2 hours at this "urgent" care facility with my 8 year old. We were left in a room for 1:35 minutes. I attempted to speak with the nurse and his response was Doctor is busy with another patient. My 8 year old that was bitten by god knows what was already feeling hungry, sleepy. there was not consideration for a minor. I have been coming to this location for over 11 years. and today was my last day! Horrible service. There was barely anyone there, so there was no excuse for their poor service and attention. read more

I went in with a 103 fever, a swollen gland on the side of my neck and severe headaches. My nurse was amazing and took the time to listen and look me over. I cannot say the same thing for the doctor R. Mederos. The strep test came out negative, and when he came in to see me, it was just to tell me that. He went on to say, it still could be strep so we are giving you an antibiotic. When i would try to speak, he would cut me off and say ok and I'll give you this. This doctor did not even bother to look me over or test for what it could be, since the step test came out negative. He seemed uncaring and in a rush. Finally when it came time to leave, both doctors at the urgent care were just shooting down with their legs stretched out. If it wasn't for the friendly staff and nurses, i would be a very angry patient. Never going back here. read more

Being that this place is literally a few blocks away from my house, it has become the go to place for minor accidents and your casual cold, stomach ache etc... Clean, organized, fast, friendly staff...It really does run smooth. I have yet to have a bad experience here, oh and you can even walk out with your medication ready to go, if they carry it. Right next door you can find the urgent care for the kids, which looks like it is just as good as the adult side. Instead of going to the ER for something minor, you should really give these urgent care centers a shot. read more

We always choose to come here if our toddler is not feeling well. Normally we can't get him into his pediatrician for a same day sick appointment so therefore this is the next best choice. The staff here are extremely thorough with our son being that they know his extensive history & they know how fragile he is. We've been coming here for the past 3 years & we've never had a single complaint. We are also never here for more than a couple of hours which includes him having cultures done, plus X-rays, nowadays that can be hard to find...... Fast service & a caring staff!!! read more

2nd time one of my family members is treated with Dr. Jorge Jesus Santin & 2nd time we are dissatisfied how he handled my 84 yr old grandma. The whole staff was laughing, having a good time, talking about personal things, looking for phone chargers, etc. I was very disappointed in the staff lack of care for the patients. I even had one nurse try to give my grandma an antibiotic before the Dr even saw her! She soon realized she was in the wrong room with the wrong patient. She turned around & said "Oopsie". Had they been paying attention instead this mistake wouldnt have happened. Dr. Santin, was nice & ordered tests; followed every procedure needed. He ordered an x-ray & a flu test. The x-ray tech was the ONLY person who I was satisfied with. About 10 min later, a nurse came to tell us that the xrays were clear. The Dr told us that it would be another 15 min for the flu test results. We waited about 20 mins, when I hear the Dr ask if the flu test was even sent out to be analyzed. This was after he got off the phone with someone talking bout a trip to Paris. He told a nurse he forgot to send the test in. We wait another 30 mins... he's seeing patients left & right - bout 8 people coming, being seen, & discharged... while my 84 year old grandma is suffering from a cough so bad she can't even breathe! I get frustrated & stand outside the curtain to see what is going on - why a test is taking so long to get the results. That is when I see Dr. Santin call/run after a patient and the nurse because he 'forgot' to give her her prescription. What kind of professional work is that? A Dr. who forgets to give a patient medicine? Ridiculous! I go back in room where my grandma is... still no answers regarding the status of the test. When I hear the nurse ask the Dr what is the status of the flu test? He said he wasn't sure but "just put bronchitis". How can he just ASSUME it's bronchitis without the flu test results? I open the curtain & that's when he gives the discharge papers to the nurse. She sits and talks for about another 20 mins before I give her an 'upset' look & she goes "are you ready to go home?" I told her I was ready about 30 mins ago when the Dr. told you "just put bronchitis" and gave you the paperwork. She then proceeded to LIE to me and tell her the Dr. "JUST gave her the discharge paperwork" when I saw he did this more than 20 mins prior. After that, she gave her back to me, told my grandmother, an older lady, all the medications she needed to take. I asked her questions and again, she ignored me, only speaking to my grandma, who was so sick she could barely remember a couple of things. I just wanted to get my stuff and leave! How rude!!! The nurse did not bother to give me instructions on the meds until I asked several times what all these meds were. I asked for the flu results and she just said "negative" but did not offer any paperwork as proof of this. I was told if her coughing gets out of hand, take 3 doses of the Albuterol inhaler, and if it gets so bad she can't breathe just take her to the ER. When I went to get the meds from the pharmacist (who knows my grandmother and her meds) he was shocked that the Dr. gave an 84 yr old diabetic and high blood pressure patient Alburetol Sulfate inhaler which could raise her blood pressure even more! I was even MORE surprised when the nurse told her to take 3 DOSES of it if the coughing was bad. Are they trying to make my grandmother sicker?? These nurses who were just laughing and having a good time not even paying attention to their patients. And a Dr. who's so busy with his phone calls that forgets his patients and what he is doing. By the end of the 2 hr ordeal he came in speaking English to my grandmother - who I told him ONLY spoke Spanish - asking the SAME questions he asked in the beginning of the visit... I've NEVER seen anything like this at this Urgent Care! I've always had good visits with OTHER Drs. No issues like this so I'm surprised this Dr. is still practicing there. This is the second time we are completely dissatisfied with his work. read more

Every time I come here I usually wait anywhere from 1 hour to 2 hours. But I came Saturday night and waited only about 20 min, I love how nice the nurse was and really made us feel comfortable. My mom came in with migraines like never before, she felt super sick. All the Dr. did was order a flu test, and that's it. No X-Rays or any other test. The flu test came back positive, it was basically like a "yeah you have the flu go home". She continued to feel sick so we came to the emergency room, once they finished all the correct test we also found out my mom had pneumonia! If we would've followed Dr. Santins rules and she would've continued with the medications, she could have died. Super disappointed in this facility. read more

Tonight on 11/27/18 around 7:30 PM I went to the Urgent Care on 13500 SW 152nd St, Miami, FL 33177 because I had gotten bit and scratched by a squirrel and I wasn't too sure If I had rabis from that. I get called over to go inside the room so the doctor can see me. As I was sitting there waiting to get seen by the doctor I hear the nurses talking about my situation. I clearly heard them say to one another "why is he in here? For a squirrel bite" and I heard them all laughing about it. Then I heard another nurse say "but he only had 2 tiny scratches on his wrist they cant carry rabies for that" and the other nurses continue to laugh about that... When doctor Santin, Jorge J, MD came to see me I told him that I was very mad and felt uncomfortable and explained to him why. He told me that I must have had a miss understanding and they were joking about something else. I know what I heard! I clearly felt very uncomfortable and I was about to get up and leave. First of all, why are they talking about a patients situation and making jokes about it? Even if my bite and scratch was nothing they should have not been talking about it out loud and making fun about it. What if I would have had rabies and died... Who's going to be laughing now? I will NEVER go to that urgent care EVER again VERY unprofessional on their part! read more

This Urgent Care, health staffs and doctors are amazing! I took my kids there when they are sick and in one hour we are out!!! This include getting our medications fill there, YES in one hour and she had chest X-ray as well!!! They continue to impress me every time I go there now. The best part is not having to go to the pharmacy or calling our primary care and waiting for two hours! read more

I came in because of a slight fever and an extremely sore throat. Parking was easy to find, even though the clinic is right off Coral Reef Drive. The staff at the front desk were friendly and got my paperwork done in just a few minutes. I was attended to in as little as ten minutes, and had a nurse check my pulse and temperature. I had Dr. Diaz look me over, and along with Nurse Anna, they both had me settle and diagnosed in no time at all. And to top it all of, I got a free Gatorade!! (I love Gatorade). I can't wait for the next time I'm sick so I have an excuse to come back, absolutely great attention and patient service. read more

I love this pediatric location. So far have had X-ray and now MRI for my kid and the process is very smooth. They are on time and ready at time of appt. my kid was scared about the MRI testing , however the tech took the time to explain the process, had her select a mood for the room ( yup, pink princess lights, with a movie and music). They gave her earphones with the music and a helmet looking device that she told me had my image and tech that she could look at all the time! They have thought of everything to ease a child for all these testings and procedures. Staff is amazing and friendly. The waiting area is very kid friendly. Highly recommend for kids!!! read more

Her name is Dr. Ana Orozco. She was extremely disrespectful and so rude. The nurse and the rest of the staff couldn't have been nicer but that doctor, I definitely don't recommend. read more

I took my son to this Baptist urgent care (country walk) recently for a cold and fever he had and prior to getting treated here I asked and was told I'd be approximately $200 for the Dr. to examine him (which turned out to be $400, we paid another $200 a few weeks later when they mailed a bill for the chest x-ray, Influenza and strep test) we've no insurance by the way. Well about a month after we received and paid off the 1st bill, we received a 2nd bill for an additional $800 despite the $400 we had already paid. Mind you my son only got: A 2-minute exam by the Dr., a chest X-Ray and a strep and influenza test! That's it nothing more!!! When I called them regarding the 2nd bill for $800 they gave me some bull crap saying that we were also getting billed for use of the facility and use of their equipment and services rendered by the radiologist and pathologist and yada yada yada...in other words i understand this is their policy but had they said this since the beginning then definitely we would've gone somewhere else! They are misleading and ripping off poor people that don't have medical insurance. DO NOT go to this place please do yourself a favor and just go to a low income urgent care center (Doris Ison in Miami) is one of them. Oh and they've already sent my 20 year old son to collections after only 2 months because unfortunately we do not have the money to pay them...these thieves should be closed down and sent to prison for stealing!!! read more
