This place is a small bakery at la condesa neighborhood. The staff is very friendly and bilingual. The venue is very small, it can acomódate no more than 4 tables inside plus two more on the sidewalk. The problem is that it is located almost at the corner of a very busy street. So the noise can be deafening. The chairs and tables are too small and uncomfortable. Definitely not very inviting to stay for long time.
They specialize in croissant. Is the only pastry they sell, sweet and savory.
I ordered the caramel pecan croissant. It was good, the caramel creamy and not salty. The pecan tasted fresh but raw. They could have roasted them at least. The dough was good but lacking butter for my taste. The coffee options is wider but it is not their forte. I ordered a plain americano cortado. Which is a regular black coffee with a little bit of cream or milk. The end result was a watery down coffee (see the picture). The menu says they also have baguettes but I did not see any. The product, although is good, is very expensive for a pastry. Considering there are more bakeries around with lower prices, and with product just as good.
So the venue is no ideal and uncomfortable, good and friendly staff with just good and expensive product, hence the three stars.
I can see myself coming back, but just to order takeout (just pastries, coffee never again!). read more
