I only wish I could give more stars for Weaver Furniture Barn. Carissa and Paul have been…read morewonderful. Carissa was helping us on-line. Unfortunately, when we drove to Weaver Furniture Barn, she wasn't working. The good news was that Paul was there and has been amazing. He has been working above and below to get the right Amish bedroom furniture that matches what we bought back in 2013 from a now closed store. He called one builder to make sure the items were built like we thought we saw on pictures on-line because he wanted to make sure that if we ordered them, that they would be what we expected, that and we'd be happy. He also called another builder to see if that builder could make a top that matched our furniture, and said that if that builder could not, he would build it for us for a very nominal charge. When it's time to buy living room furniture, we will be back for sure. The price for Amish furniture may be a slightly higher than what you get at all big box furniture stores, but it will last forever, and not only can you choose the wood your furniture is made of, but you also pick the stain color or paint color.

Their showroom in the Old Bag Factory had beautiful examples of hardwood furniture in various styles which can also be seen in showroom catalogs and online. Local craftsmen construct your choices from oak, maple, cherry and other woods. The choices of finishes and hardware are many and beautiful. I ordered a television cabinet, a sofa table, two end tables and a large circular dinner table in cherry wood with a cherry finish. The quality, the fit and finish of the pieces are awesome. Just like you see in the showroom. This is the kind of furniture you would leave to your loved ones. You can spend more money at other stores for imported furniture but nothing that is comparable to Legacy's. Dave S. is the salesperson I worked with. He is extraordinarily knowledgeable about their furniture and how it is made. He welcomed my questions and gave me detailed answers. You couldn't find a more helpful and patient sales rep anywhere. I recommend Legacy without any reservations whatsoever.

They've been around for over 100 years and it shows. The staff is so nice and helpful. We picked up bunk beds for our sons and they let us look at the furniture three or four times before we bought it. Each time we asked to check it out they were so nice. For a small fee they will deliver, set up, and place whatever you buy. They have some great pieces there at pretty good prices. The feel of the store is very warm and inviting. It makes you feel like you are stepping into a real store..not a chain or big box store.

We have purchased most of our furniture through Fenkers. Recently purchased a chair. Asked the…read moreday i pirchased about return policy. The young woman said I could return within a month just take it home and try it. We did. Called two days ago and said having issues would like to trade it for another chair. Was told, "we would never make you keep something yoy didn't like." So I went in to the store to discuss with them today and got a toally different story. First they looked up my order and asked how long we had the chair. I said about 2 weeks. I got a "hmmm" and the clerk walked away for about 10 minutes. Came back and said "I am really sorry you have had the chair too long." My response was I was told I could return up to a month after purchasing. He disappeared again and this time came back and said, "it is a discontinued chair all sales are final." Again I acknowledged that was not what I was told. Was told I was misinformed. I usually recommend them without hesitation but think I will start looking elsewhere for future purchases. Felt like we were being scammed.

My first impression was good - the shop was pleasant - clean and organized, and Mike, the owner, was very businesslike yet personable. He gave me a written quote which I thought was a fair price, we agreed to the time-line and I delivered the fabric and the first two chairs the next morning. I returned to La Porte 3 weeks later and the first 2 chairs were finished as promised. Over the course of the next few days he delivered the remaining five chairs, somewhat earlier than expected as he was working overtime to accommodate my travel schedule. The work is excellent as was the customer service from beginning to end. And, as importantly, my mother is pleased to have the project finished. I highly recommend M & R Custom Upholstery.
