This review is strictly on the service prior to picking up the book that is being held for me. I called in to see if they had a specific book. They found it quickly and reserved it for me as my mom who lives quite far away will have to pick it up. I didn't feel rushed off the phone even when I spoke in Konglish. The value of the book was FAR MORE than responsible for it being Korean and not the translated version. Location is a bit odd. It's on a block I haven't seen many people walk on. So it's not crowded at all. When I went in I was the only customer there. They have a very small selection of K-pop albums. Unfortunately most of them didn't have price tags already attached to them so I had to ask the cashier to ring it up for me. I only saw two albums w/ tags. I wished they added them so I don't have to constantly ask for it / bother the cashier. I went here bc I saw reviews that this place was pretty cheap compared to other K-pop related stores. However the album I got was $28.94. And after tax - $31.51 Which is almost narrowly the same price as my usual K-pop store I frequent. But I bought it anyways. I also rang up aespa's jewel case & it came up to around $27. So I ended up buying only one album. When I opened it, the spine on the bottom of the photo book was a lil fucked up. And I noticed two - ish pages a bit teeny tiny detached. I am quite nit picky abt things like this so I was bit disappointed. However, i did clumsily drop the album after purchasing it and banged it slightly while it was in my bag. I think there was supposed to be a poster that came with the album but I never got it There was also a shelf I almost missed that was in front of the cashier on the side. In the back they have a bunch of books all in Korean. Btw hours are 10AM - 6PM Monday through Friday Closes pretty early imo They are also closed on the weekend and holidays unfortunately I came on a weekend not knowing they were closed so just a heads up ! I honestly would not have known about this place if my sister did not recommend it. Great selection of albums at a VERY reasonable price! I got Red Velvet's 'The Red' album for $22, with a free Peek a Boo poster! The same album sold for $32 albums at the Koryo store in Koreatown New York City. My sisters purchased the Twice 'What is Love', Red Velvet 'Russian Roulette', Blackpink 'Squared up', and Seventeen albums; each were no more that $23! Even better, each purchase came with a free poster! This store seems like a mom and pop shop, and the lady who worked there was super helpful and sweet! This book store has a great variety of kpop albums! From old releases to recent comebacks, as well as Weverse exclusive albums. It was very quiet when I went in mid day on a Saturday which was also very nice since it isn't very large of a store. The man behind the counter was also friendly. My only drawback was that the majority of the albums had no price tags on them. The price of the albums themselves were definitely cheaper than that you would find at a kpop store in Manhattan though. However, you could probably find them online in general for cheaper (as long as you can find them and they aren't sold out). Definitely worth checking out if you are in Flushing read more

This places has literally every album any group everything you could ask for! The neighbor hood is also amazing and the food there is also amazing(it is in korea town). There is keychains as well as season greetings. There are also korean books as well in the store. I recommend going to this place if you want to buy more kpop albums or different groups and/or just a relaxed day off! read more

I can't comment on their selection of Korean books cuz I can't read Korean but it looks like they have a good variety of books (2 floors of books). The owners are very nice and friendly. My review is on the small KPOP section they have by the entrance. They had a few albums from the current popular boy and girl groups (Girls Generation, Infinite, 2PM, BTS, GOT7, B2ST, EXO, Big Bang and so on!) as well as the DVDs for popular kdramas. In the corner, there are a generous offering of KPOP posters of your favorite kpop groups! There were a lot of EXO posters (from their "Overdose" and "Love Me Right" promos), 2PM's Go Crazy, Girl's Generation, Infinite, Big Bang, Boyfriend, B2ST, MBLAQ and my fav, Bangtan Boys aka BTS. Also they have a few fans with pictures of BTS, Inifinite, EXO and G Dragon on them (from what I can remember; $3) Not to mention that the posters were definitely a decent price (4.99 NOT including tax) and size (it's about 36'' by 24'' SO BIG!). If you love kpop and want to buy cheap albums then this is the place! I went today and got three EXO albums. In total it was $69. I know that might sound a lot but for three albums it's a good price! The total was $69 but I only had $64 on me and the lady still let me pay with $64. She also gave me a poster (cbx). She was really nice and kind too! There where a bunch of kpop albums such as Twice, Red Velvet, NCT, BTS, etc. I will go back just to get even more albums. :) read more

This is my favorite kpop place! They sell A LOT of amazing albums,posters,photocards, you name it! They also sell korean books too. They have all types of albums, including twice,got7,exo,bts,monsta x,etc.. If you're wondering, they also have photobooks too! I got my monsta x album from here and i love it! It was 28$. This bookstore is in Flushing,which is in Queens. The area is predominantly asian. Every store is,mostly, asian. The stores are usually in chinese and,occasionally,in korean. They have asian stores that sell asian makeup,food, clothes,plushies,etc.. Me and my aunt went to flushing to see the world mall. The mall wasn't that great but the stores around/outside the mall were amazing! Flushing, Queens also has an anime store there, i want to go there soon! Bandi Books is a quaint Korean bookstore located in Queens. When you first walk in it looks like there aren't any kpop albums or cds anywhere. If you keep walking inside you'll find the kpop and Korean language learning section. I bought four albums and it all came out to around $85. This is DEFINITELY a lot cheaper than going to any other kpop stores in Manhattan. I also got two free posters and some stickers as well. The store had newer albums so I was able to buy BTS' and EXO's new albums. The cashier was very nice and even taught us a little bit of Korean! Wider range of books are in this store than the other chain(-ish) stores that I have already reviewed. The staff and their customer services are more accommodating and I was pleased to have bothered to travel all the way to Flushing, given how little the store seems to be recognized. Its presence might mean way more than the alternative to the store that I raised to make a comparison to. All in all, Korean books are so inaccessible regarding their price range that you can't casually splurge on. At least this store has some discount section and carry older books as well. read more

According to my husband, this Korean bookstore used to only sell Korean books online, but now they have an actual location right on Northern Blvd near 149th Street not too far away from the Picnic Garden BBQ buffet. This expansion could only mean business is good. Sometimes, after eating a hearty meal at the Picnic Garden, my husband and I would stroll over, bringing our BBQ fumes that lingers in our clothes with us to the Aladdin bookstore. This store has two floors: ground level and the basement accessible by stairs. I can't tell you much about what's in this store as it's totally in Korean. I don't know how it's organized, but I think it's organized in a way a typical bookstore is organized. Even the popular English books are translated into Korean books. There are a few Korean music CDs and concert DVDs, but it is a very limited selection. They also sell other things besides books: electronic dictionaries, Korean artwork, and crafts. I believe I bought one of the only English books in existence in the store: Learn Korean. For a non-Korean, I think this is the only book I'd be interested in reading. I begged my husband to buy me the book and it cost him almost $25. For every book we purchase, the cashier puts in an Aladdin bookmark in the bag too. During the transaction, the cashier asked my husband if my husband would like to join the Aladdin rewards club. My husband did join and he received a card. I think it works like for every certain amount he spends, he gets a discount. Because this place is fully catering to Koreans only, I wish this bookstore would: 1) Have more Korean learning books in the English language so newbies can get their feet wet in Korean literature and possibly develop further interest in Korean culture. 2) Expand their Korean music and media section because everyone knows non-Koreans go crazy for Korean dramas or melodramas. 3) Have some sales/discounts. I don't see anything being discounted at this store. Even if books are imported, it doesn't hurt to generate some interest in some books. read more

Honestly when I came into this store I had very high expectations due to the fact that they had very good reviews, I entered, got my albums and left, I got 1 Love Yourself : Answer album ( ver S ) and 2 Love Yourself : Her albums ( ver E & O ), the price was eh, 77.38$ for just 3 albums, but continuing, I got home and opened them, just to find out that the poster that's included in the albums aren't there, they sell the albums for a higher price than usual and then take out the posters which is so aggravating, and I can't even return them because they have a no-cd refund policy that's not even viewable anywhere near the store, only once you buy something, that's when they tell you that it's not refundable. this is so frustrating, even if Koryo Bookstore is more expensive, at least it has a better variety of albums and ACTUALLY BRINGS WHAT YOU BUY!!! this bookstore only had a few selections of albums, just BTS TWICE BLACKPINK RED VELVET TXT and a few other groups, they didn't have KARD or ATEEZ, so that was also disappointed, the area that it's located in is also very sketchy, other than that, it's okay but I'm kinda upset that they didn't include the poster . read more

They have a huge selections on korean books. Their kpop albums here are really cheap compared to the kpop store in manhattan, and you can also order kpop albums that they don't have in store and they'll call you to pick it up. I ordered a DAY6 album and paid $17 instead of $25. My go to place to buy albums and they also sell posters for really cheap. read more

I love this book store. It's so hard to really get Korean books, and yes there are other stores in k-town and online, but I always prefer bandibooks. I was actually looking for aladdin books, but it seems that for us living in foreign areas, bandibooks has an actual location so you can see. Korean books (or any foreign books, like if you go to Kinokuniya, the Japanese books will also be pretty expensive for the import price.) tend to usually be double its actual price. However, I was glad to find out that they let you price match with their website, which has the books at a more regular price. A book that is $28 dollars in store could be $15 online, and they will price match without any questions, you just pay tax. I go here frequently as I am a bookworm, and before I could not read as much because the books were so pricy, but now it doesn't hurt to buy a few months now and then. read more

The kpop selection is very small (only the front row of the bookstore), but they have posters and albums at very reasonable prices! The posters were huge and only $5. The albums were the cheapest I've ever found them compared to Koryo Bookstore, Amazon, online kpop stores (e.g. EXO GROWL ALBUM PRICES: koryo- $35, amazon- $24, online kpop stores: ~$30 and this place (now called bandi books): $24!) When I saw the albums though, the plastic covering on the outside seemed to be beaten up and torn, maybe resulting in the cheaper price, but the album was in perfect condition. They have a limited selection of albums and posters (they do have exo, bts, infinite, b1a4... but I haven't seen vixx, b.a.p. or the newer groups). They also don't have the most recent albums either, but the price of their albums are great! I really recommend this place! Small, but satisfying. read more

The best book store in Queens at least. I sometimes visit here to read some books and buy them. Usually nice selections on display including the books that I can't find at the library, and it worth to own as mine, and if they don't have books I want, they order it and contact me to pick it up. Furthermore, I have a membership, there are some benefits such as accumulating purchasing scores to use it for later, and emailing me when they have a discount promotion on Christmas, so I bought some books I wanted to read.
