Seen Boutique, says it all in the name really, you are lucky if you see this boutique, they take…read moreyour money then do not despatch the goods, I have been waiting over 2 months for my order to be delivered, amazing they can take your money out of your bank as soon as you press order on your keypad, but its a different story when sending out the goods, cannot even contact them by telephone as they have a recorded message on there saying " no one is available to take your call " that'ss been the same message for the last 2 months, obviously a scam, so DO NOT TOUCH SEEN BOUTIQUE, apart from visiting there shop that they say they have on the website, but I expect if I made the 5 hour journey that will just be a shop with a message saying no one home to take your enquiry. I done this deal through KGB who apparently do not check out who they are dealing with, otherwise this would not of been allowed to happen. A very unhappy and disgruntled customer

Definitely worth a look - you never know what you might find! It's in the main shopping street, down at the end and not far from the Rolle Quay Car Park.

This is quite a big sized store. It is easy to find what you're looking for in the store as all the…read moreclothes in each age group etc is together. I do find the shop gets quite messy though as when people pick the clothes that are folded up to check the sizes they don't fold them up when they put them back. There are two checkout desks one for when you buy from the male side and one from the female but it doesn't really matter which you use. There is also an information desk by the changing rooms. The people on the counter are normally very helpful. The shop can get very busy especially on a Saturday so you could be queuing at the checkout for a while or to get in the changing room. The shop also gets very hot so if there is a big queue I normally don't end up getting anything. The shop is very cheap though and there are always lots of bargains.

There is lots of room to walk down the centre aisle but it is harder to look down the sides especially when it is busy or if you have a buggy to push around. At the back of the shop there is a large changing room which have big mirrors in which I find is good the only thing I don't like is the changing room doors are curtains so sometimes don't shut properly. By the counter there is a stand with jewellery on there is always something nice on there. I always find that Select has the latest trends of clothes and they are well priced especially when there is a sale on.

Tarka books in Bear Street Barnstaple is a proper old fashioned bookstore. Selling everything from…read morethe latest paperbacks to old and rare second hand books it is the kind of place that you can spend hours in browsing the shelves. Every subject is covered from history to music, arts and science fiction and the owner knows his stuff about books-a nice place to waste a couple of hours just browsing, but please buy to keep him going, it would be a shame to lose another traditional shop.

We visited the Barnstaple store this week to look for a suit for my husband to wear to our…read moredaughters wedding this summer and we were very surprised to find that men's suits are no longer stocked here now, apparently, there isn't enough room for suits now that the home department has been enlarged, I would rather order home lines online than have to keep ordering suits! but were told that suits are available online where we can order. Well, we prefer to come into a store and see things displayed, colours, style choices and sizes to try on at leisure. We don't want to order several suits online, we would much prefer to see them on sale in the store and I 'm afraid that we have bought a suit else where, off the peg! I am otherwise pretty pleased with Barnstaple store but for reasons being the 'suit issue' I can only give one star.
