First of all, when we placed the order for cedar 2 X 6 X10 staff didn't know what cedar was. When we arrived Sunday to pick up the order there was a limited supply of poor quality lumber. The cashiers refused to give us a credit and wanted us to take $500 in gift cards. When we finally spoke with the manager there was no apology offered.

Dealing with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare. I purchased a granite counter top…read morevia Home Depot from them. It took weeks to get them to even confirm the initial install date. When it was installed we were left with a counter top that had a 22cm crack/fissure that went right over the edge. I called them 3 times. Each time I was told that either all the customer service people were out or on the phone. So I left messages each time. I never received a call back. After 8 days with no call back I called Home Depot to tell them what was happening. They tried to contact Stoneworx and it took them 2 weeks to get a reply. Finally, a month after my initial calls I received a call from a woman at Stoneworx who said my counter top would have to be replaced not having seen even a picture of the crack. A few days later a manager called and was upset that I was told it could not be fixed and that he wasn't consulted. Even their management has problems with their employees. The manager set up a day within a week to send a tech out for an "assessment" - I was not told they would be trying to fix it that day. Guess what - they didn't show! But at least I got a call from the manager to reschedule for the following week. When the tech did show up he said he was here to buff up the fissure, (no assessment was done). Having been told this was for an assessment of the crack only, I didn't expect any loud machinery would be used that day. My husband was on nightshift - if I thought it was going to try and be fixed I would have booked a few days later. The tech called his office and I spoke to the Stoneworx administration again to try and book another day for the repair and I was told that not only could they not send someone out for A MONTH but also she could not schedule it because she had no access to the scheduler - why get me on the phone just to tell me it will be a month but you have no access to schedule it??? I am so tired of waiting I told the guy to go ahead and try and fix it. The tech - Su - was very nice and buffed it out as best that could be done and also cleaned up the epoxy around the sink that was left by the first installers. The crack is still there and is easily seen but I know I will not get any better service from this company. The only reason I would recommend this company is because of the tech I meet today. The customer service gets 0 stars - I would give them -2 stars if I could. Home Depot needs to find another supplier.

Hey a bad experience with this company. 1st time ordering from them and they gave me many pieces…read moreof damaged drywall. I have lots of pics to prove it. The movers didn't do it, it looked like their forklifts caused the problems. They said it was hard to get roxul so i settled for their other brand which was the wrong stuff! but they ran out of that and then ended up giving me other roxul. I needed 14.5" wide batts but they gave me the ones for steel insulation. They are horrible for customer service. I phoned to complain but no one took my call or called back. Oddly enough they took my calls before i placed the order. I should have went with drywall canada or 1800 drywall. Totally regret this choice.

We stopped in to pick-up some drywall. It's a residential property with commercial buildings on…read moreit. Big Iron Rod security fence and camera's all over the place. We got inside, there was a young Italian lady there. She wasn't very welcoming...seemed uncomfortable. Maybe they don't get a lot of people just dropping in. Anyways "Fabio" wasn't there. So we asked how much Drywall was. Their Kijiji ad said "$6.98/sht. She said that they were all out of the kind of drywall, and all they could offer us was $7.99/sht. drywall. She then tells us they are completely out of stock of drywall? What? That if we needed it, we could go pick it up at their "supplier" PBS in Mississauga. We asked her what kind of drywall it was. She pointed to the wall and said "that kind". There were 2 price increase notifications on the wall...LAFARGE USA, and GEORGIA PACIFIC USA (even though their website says "Canadian materials only"). We asked about CGC or Canadian CertainTeed drywall..because jobs we do require materials to be CCMC approved and have a warranty. They couldn't get it. We have heard about this "broker" board coming across the border having mould, or being too brittle...and if there is a problem, no warranty...you are on your own. All sales final. We ended up going to PBS to pick up the Drywall. The warehouse had USA made Lafarge and Georgia Pacific...we ended up getting the GP stuff..Lafarge is crap. It was just a garage job we were doing, so we were fine with that. I would say Wholesale Drywall Direct appeared to be somewhat shady...too much security, and what is this...consumers distributing? No stock? They seem like they might be on their way out? My advice...pay more for Canadian made stuff, from a legit dealer.
