The Baltic Soul Weekender is a fully organized weekend full of soul live concerts and DJ music sessions from friday through sunday at the Weissenhäuser Strand in Wangels. We have ordered the full weekend package some months in advance, because places are sold quickly. Our Package included 2 nights in an appartment and the ticket to all music events, and the entrance to the water fun paradise in the hotel and appartment park and parking. Tickets only are available too, or combinations with hotel rooms or camping places. The Hotel appartment park is like a small village only for tourists, with its supermarket, parking spaces, restaurants, cafés, bars, discos, sports and many different fantastic and extraordinary playgrounds for children. The park includes a private sandy beach in walking distance. The music performances were absolutely great and exciting. One of the highlights of the weekend were the Temptations. They were really great!! they rocked the crowd. Old school funky music!! Papa was a Rolling stone, My Girl, no Mountain high enough, ... We could sing some very famous songs with them. And they asked 3 visitors to give their best on one of their songs. One young man was an amazingly great singer, they had to cut him short, he could steal their show hehe. An older woman sang really good as well. this was a very nice part of their performance, bringing the fans into the show. Many soul performers were there with their families and enjoyed their free time in the recreation area. So we happened to have a nice meeting with the Fatback Band while walking in the sun along the Beach shore and through the dunes. We were watching the special sort of long hair cows (I forgot the name of this animal, but they look alike bisons). Great event to go to every year! read more
