I spent a few hours here today, and I can't really complain. For a public pool, the water was reasonably clean. I did not experience the bathrooms or the restaurant. At the front they were very friendly and welcoming. The security guard showed me where to find everything. No one spoke a lick of English, but I managed to find my way.
The slides were not open, but I don't think I had gone down the slides regardless. Didn't look terribly safe.
Water temperature was great on a hot day. I would say this pool is not heated, but it doesn't need to be.
Mostly kids, but a few adults. I came here just to get into some cool water after suffering the heated pool at my nearby five star hotel.
The price is certainly right. I think it was around 40 pesos.
Not sure I would leave anything valuable laying around, but I left my bag with my $70 Crocs, and no one touched them.
The adjacent beach, not my thing. Most Veracruz beaches are not very attractive for tourists. Obviously a much more local thing, but this pool does open up onto the beach. So I suspect a number of folks bounce back and forth between the two. read more
