I think I was generous last time of giving this a 3 star. I give this place more of a 2 star. Bally's is going through major renovations with the property. Not so sure if they are delaying this as this looks the same as I last saw this. The security at Bally's was really friendly and nice. However, the rest of the staff seems not to care as much and customer service needs more. Reminds of Shreveport especially at the casino cage as when you want to get your change, no one is there to help out. I remember the machine at Jin Long 888 took my money and I wanted 20 minutes until I went to the casino cage and asked for help and the tech was inside, but they were changing shifts at the time. The bathrooms were disgusting as well and needed to be cleaned. It was early in the morning and usually casinos clean the bathrooms from last night or on a regular basis. Besides those down falls I went to the same machine that paid me well last time and it certainly did, but of course I did sink $200 dollars into the machine before getting $277 dollars back. I played other games, but the bonuses were not hitting. I did not play as much as I did loose around 1 thousand the last time I was here within 2 hours which is fast in my book as no bonuses were hitting. But I learned my lesson this time and did not play much. I think I spent most of my time waiting for the attendant. Machine wise, they do have a nice selection and updated the machines last time I went. The good news is they did merge their cards as my Bally's from Shrevport status carried over to here so I am at the next level. read more

There is almost no sound on a large two-seater game, and some had none. Some had glitches in the video but oddly still playable. A lot of games were not even lit because they were so broken. The rest had people just sitting at the games and not playing, but looking at their phone or sleeping. Players card hard to find with no freeplay. I got pick pocketed with $300 in winnings and asked to see security footage to track down who took it. They told me that it "wasn't a serious enough issue to view the cameras." I have NEVER had this experience at argosy casino. I was showing them charges of the person running my debit card as credit, and they still did nothing. Isle of Capri had a formula. Their staff remembered your name. You always got the most assistance whether it was help with a broken machine or watching the machine while you went to the bathroom. Now the Ballys is so understaffed they can't be bothered. And what's with all the machines in Chinese? We know they are cheaper to buy but come on. Americans like to hear our language in robots too. The format is supposed to showcase the new renovations but the machines are all the same FuNaWa or whatever China sends in place of our brands. I asked about the buffet option and the security guard told me customers are "nasty mf'ers" . We had a good casino but they use the place like a sting operation for crimestoppers and slow down the payouts to pay for their renovations. Can't even get comps anymore . My husband and I have gone to this casino when it originally opened and have always been treated very good. Since the virus has changed some procedures we have complied as asked however the staff have become bullies and are extremely rude. According to them we weren't wearing our mask correctly and were asked in a very threatening manner to leave which we were already doing. well yesterday afternoon was awful at Bally's for me when I got there I checked both of my machines I play and both of them had their chairs turned around because someone was "saving" them one had 24 cents and the other had 30 cents I didn't mess with them and there was a lady that works at the casino right by one of them I told her the situation I said I had already been there an hour and no one has came around the machine that was held with 30 cents I asked the slot tech or hand pay lady if I could play it she said let's give them 5 more minutes so I played the one next to it for ten minutes I timed it and I lost 20 dollars the a lot tech lady still standing right by there and I got up and asked her again and she put her fingers in the air and said 2 more minutes - here I am with money wanting to play the machine I come there for that other person had not been there for over an hour now and this awful lady doesn't care that I am a customer and I have money and I want to play that machine now she is making me wait even longer than she said the first time I got angry left with my money and I'm not ever coming back after getting treated like trash as a paying customer while she is protecting the person that is not there with 30 cents on the machine she was absolutely wrong for doing that and she didn't care it was a power trip for her - I willl never come back there the customers that save machines with money on them pretend like their coming back but they don't have any money left and they are not there anymore and they are the ones that matter not the customer standing there wanting to play the machine with money That lady doesn't deserve that job she thinks she is so powerful I spend a lot of money there but I will never be back and I will let my casino friends know exactly why I don't go there I was not a valued customer yesterday and I'm very upset about it. Well, I had been reluctant to visit this particular casino again after the experiences I had before, but, they had been sending me offers and I decided to try them again. I had a flyer that was offering me an air fryer or something to that effect because I have the card that earns these rewards. I got to the counter and they told me to swipe my card at the kiosk first and bring them the coupon. Well, there was no coupon but there was a 10 dollar free play coupon. So..there went that. Next, I was going to play my coupon on the blackjack tables but there were only two open. Of course there were no 10 dollar tables but there was a 15 dollar table and a 25 dollar table. 25 dollar table when there are only two open anyway? Of course the 15 dollar table was full and had several people waiting for a seat to open and the 25 dollar table had a few reluctant players who really wanted to play on a 15 dollar table. So I decided to go ahead and try my luck on the craps table, the only one open btw. I stood on one end and was immediately yelled at and told I couldn't stand on that end. I was like, huh? They only had one HALF of the table available to play on. I was already feeling irritated because the lady yelled at me but I squeezed in on the other end. I placed my coupon on the pass line ans went to reach for some cash since it was a 15 dollar table bit before I could grab my cash the asian guy dealer yelled in an aggressive manner," What's this? It's 15 dollars to play here!" As he was being aggressive I was showing him my cash and he looked stupid. He changed my cash and I put another 5 on the coupon. I asked him why he was being so aggressive and he just looked at me but didn't answer. After the guy hit his point I grabbed my winnings and left the table. I went upstairs and got food from the crab place and left. I don't know if I can do this again. They need to train employees to be civil and open more tables to accommodate the crowd or at least keep all of the tables at 15 until they can open more tables. The casino staff is the worst. They will profile you, despite the high tech surveillance capabilities. They do not honor or respect you as a guest. They made a huge error of wrongfully accusing me of something someone else did. No factor's gave any indication to pursue me but they did. The person who they were looking for was a different race, we had different colors on, and we walked in at different times. When I tried to inform them they have the wrong person, I witnessed what happened. I was belittle and threaten to get removed from the casino if I don't be quiet. This happened all within the first 5 min of me walking through the door of this casino for the 1st time. They know they wrongfully accused me and never apologized. This was a Supervisor. The higher level staff is worst. They tried to cover this incident up indicating they followed protocol, when in fact they went against their own policy of treatment of their guest. You will not be treated fairly if you attend, you won't get an apology for the staff ill behavior or a call back. The Director will say they had IT issues which prevented a call back. Security here I would say is a joke, but its a very sad joke. The regular officers are overworked, kept in the dark about important matters, and diffently undertrained. So say good buy to your car, or hello to it being damaged. If your handicapped, elderly, please dont go. The escalators constantly break down. They have one elevator for patron use. The regular officers being ether too young will be scared of the alarms, the older officers might not be able to respond because the third floor, where management is, will be evacuated first. The Security director will talk everyones head off, the other mangers, plus the leads will grunt, cuss, and eventually make their way from the smoke deck where they hide, and will probably just pack up and go home. Deal with the crisis when they get back in a few days. This is what I as a veteran have observed. They also seem to be anti veteran. As I could only find two veterans in working the casino floor. Turnover must be also really high here, as it;s hard to see the same faces everyweek, and the employees tell me stories of how management just want the new building built, and the build with the slot machines can just apparently burn down. So go if you dont vaule your life or your belongings. Its a trailer park, with a rec center that doubles as a homeless shelter, and car chop shop. read more

Me and four friends went to KC on a 4th of July excursion and decided we'd hit up all the KC casinos over the long weekend. Sadly, they all were somewhat disappointing. Isle of Capri was, by unanimous vote, our least favorite of the 4. It was the least nice inside, and had the worst overall combination of available table games and dealers. We played mostly "21+3", a blackjack bonus variant I haven't seen outside of KC. It's normal blackjack but with a high house edge 3-card poker optional bet. We had one nice, friendly dealer, and the rest were pretty well below average. As regional casinos go, though, KC is not mecca. Ridiculous $500 buyin per 2 hour period law means you aren't going to be playing more than about $25-50 per hand unless you go way up. You have to pay for drinks, and they stop serving at 2am. Our assessment of the KC gaming scene, in terms of places we enjoyed gambling the most, was: 1. Argosy 2. Harrah's 3. Ameristar 4. Isle of Capri Argosy and Harrah's were pretty close, Ameristar being a distant third followed by Isle of Capri. read more

In fact, it was the first casino that I had ever gone to. Flash forward about 7 years, and the gaming table area is still just as I had remembered. I wouldn't be surprised if they were the same tables as in the past. The slot machines on the other hand have been updated. My game of choice is video blackjack, and I was disappointed to see that you can only play with a minimum bet of $1! Other places such as Argosy allow you to make a minimum 1 cent bet. For the price of $1 per hand, I'd rather play at the tables. I will definitely never step foot back inside of here again. The only pluses are $5 craps and blackjack. read more

Ok, Isle of Capri really isn't that bad. No, it is most certainly not a Las Vegas casino. You have to know what you're walking into before you walk in here. It may very possibly be the friendliest casino I've ever been to. The staff here really are nice. It's also exceptionally clean compared to the other "more upscale" casinos in town. I pretty much just play slots so I won't say anything about the table games. There's a pretty decent selection of slots. They even have newer machines the other casinos don't have which is nice. They always have a variety of different giveaways and rewards programs which are similar to other casinos. The inside of the casino is definitely old but it's still maintained pretty decently. It's actually kind of interesting to be able to look down on the casino floor and watch people. Not sure about any of the food here, the buffet, or the other little bar upstairs. I probably will never try them either. I come here to use my free cash coupons and drop $20 for a little while. It's still a fun time. read more

Even though they changed names, it is still the nastiest, grungy, smelly place of old on the inside and outside. You don't dare touch the railings outside cause they are sticky/slimy with god-only knows what. You have to ride down an escalator to get into the casino and you can LITERALLY SEE the stagnant cloud of cigarette smoke you have to pass through just to get down to the casino floor. The ventilation sucks. When I left, my mask smelled of cigarette smoke so badly, I had to throw it away and I was only in there for about 20 minutes!! The outside parking lot is sketchy and the covered parking structure feels like it's going to fall down as you drive through-it vibrates so badly you can feel it in your car. This place is NOT handicapped friendly. There are no security or employees outside to help if you need it. My friend is in a wheelchair and the ramp to get into the place is unbelievably steep and the only elevator to get to the casino floor was off-limits/broken, so my friend had to wait upstairs and could not get in. This casino has never been a "good" casino in town...food was never worth $ and barely worth a comp, the people on the floor were most of the time pleasant enough, and now they have done away with the valet service which was the only PLUS they had going for them.....so in the dead of winter they "decide" it's a good idea to make handicapped people walk further to get in the front door...it's just possibly the worst decision made by new ownership...best of luck to them! read more
