We've been coming here for a few years and the service and food have both taken a continuous downward spiral. Casher is always displeasing, the food is not worth the price, and the ambience is teetering on uninviting and the only thing that's holding them together. The food industry is such a competitive market - they really need to put the passion back into both the service and cuisine. read more

This place has pretty good food and a nice vibe! I'm a huge fan the tv show Friends so this was an exciting experience for me. I was very impressed with the presentation of the food and the portions were pretty good as well! Lots of seating with both indoor and outdoor options. The only thing I would never order again is the matcha latte which was $5.00 with an oatmilk sub. Still, a chill place and would visit again to try more things on the menu! Went on Halloween and sat outside because we had our two dogs with us. My wife waited while I went inside and ordered the Mocha Frappe and an Americano and got 2 glasses of water. The waitress must've been paying attention because about 5 minutes after I was sitting back outside, she came with 2 pup cups! I thought that was very nice of them. Well let me start with a few complaints of just general lack of customer service. Not a single employee greeted me upon arrival or at the register. It was also my first time so I was not sure what to get. The cashier just stared at the screen, me and her phone never once spoke to me even after I ordered. As I was looking at the menu another employee bumped into me with dirty plates and never apologized or said excuse me. At this point I'm feeling really uncomfortable in this establishment. For the lack of service and the fact that a coffee and a sandwich cost me $20 i don't recommend this cafe. Have tried this coffee shop a few times now and have not been impressed. Almost everything on the menu is overpriced and the portions are super small. A large latte (that comes in a cup smaller than a TALL at Starbucks) costs as much as a Venti would. 2-3 items will probably cost you anywhere between $20-$40+, depending on what you order and again, the portions are quite small so be prepared to grab something somewhere else after. Barely any A/C or phone service inside. Only pro is the theming and decor. Definitely try other coffee shops in the area- you'll probably get a better bang for your buck and have a much more pleasant experience. read more

Almost like walking into a set of FRIENDS. The place is very quaint and the vibe is relaxing...exactly what I look for in a neighborhood coffee shop! The Affogato even though was listed as being served in a martini glass was given in a wine glass, which was difficult to enjoy because it was hard to scoop the ice cream and that kind of glass but the vanilla bean ice cream were super delicious and so was the espresso. Also, the iced chai latte was okay and even though I got the smaller size, I would've preferred to have gotten the larger size due to the reusable cup. This is a difficult review because I feel like I'd give two different ratings. I haven't been a big fan of their food, so I'd give that a fairly average review. I've had their baked goods and it's not much special, sometimes the flavor could be stronger. I mainly steer clear of their food because of this. I'd give the coffee a higher review as this is what I frequently get here. I've ordered their coffee drink specials and espresso, both of which have been better than average. I like their espresso the most. They also serve affogatos which can be hard to find! I like getting mine as espresso with their chocolate gelato! One of my friends have submitted their art to display on the walls here too. It's neat that local artists can display their art for sale. The vibe of this place is similar to Perk cafe in friends so they have decent seating and some comfy couches. It's a nice place to come and hang out with friends or do work. read more

Came here for just gelato and desserts. We ordered a gelato, a crème brûlée and a coffee. Waited and waited. After about 8 minutes nothing came. After checking they said the crème brûlée needs to be warmed. So we waited. So far no gelato coming. After I went in again they finally scooped my ice- cream. The crème brûlée was runny and too sweet. Such an unpleasant experience. Total waiting time for such simple order was more than 10 min. If I could leave a zero star I would by far the worst place I've ever been to my whole 50 years of being alive. I found a bug looked like a roach in my food. who is the owner of this place?! this is unbelievable I found a cockroach in my Cornetti as soon as I walked into the café I immediately wanted to walk out because one of the employees were yelling at her coworkers she goes by Jennifer I walked in to her disrespecting her coworkers, multiple of them, and I felt uncomfortable but still gave the company the benefit of the doubt I even left a great tip then went home to a roach in my food. Everything seems freshly made. I like their frappes a lot. However I don't love their food. Also their seating is a bit awkward and tight - like it all happened on accident. But the location is convenient and I'm glad there's a coffee shop off new broad. Overall I think they should stick to coffee but I'll keep trying their food to see if I find some thing I really like. Also a bit overpriced. For a flatbread, crêpe, egg/bacon sandwich, coffee and tea it was about $50 which I felt like I could have eaten at Kekes or First watch and had higher quality food and experience for $25 a person. Just my thoughts. The staff is super sweet though. I hope they improve food quality a bit because I like them and drinks are good. read more

I hate to write bad reviews but the service was not it. it was my first time there and i was standing there waiting for the person to acknowledge me (there was no one else needing their attention nor were they busy making anything) but it took forever. i got a crepe and my boyfriend got a waffle. i got the crepe after 15 minutes but the waffle took forever. they said only one person was on pantry but there were no other customers that had ordered after us so idk what the hold up was. the crepe itself was really good so im not complaining about that. they did serve us the waffle on a broken plate tho. the theme of the restaurant was cute but didn't really fit with the show. lots of friends decor but nothing that was significant to the show. just seems like generic friends themed pillows. the menu items also didn't fit the names they were given to try relate to the show. i didn't try a coffee so ill give it one more shot another time read more

Love the FRIENDS themed cafe! I came in around noon a few days ago to study and the service was amazing! I ended up staying quite close to closing and I met some workers I know as, and call, "The Closing Crew" (baristas Elle, Morgan, and the chef Khalid). They are an exuberant bunch and despite the time seemed to make a joy out of doing even the grossest work like cleaning the bathroom. They are such a lovely group of people and I can tell they love working with and around people. Onto food, I love love love the Genovese Panini and Chicken Pesto Flatbread either paired with an iced latte. The Chai Tea Latte in a warm mug with oat milk is to die for!!!! I love this place so much it's much more cozy than the other cafe in Baldwin Park. read more

Obviously the name is so cute!!! The logo is a play off of Central Perk on Friends. The staff was so friendly and answered all of my questions! I ordered an iced earl grey tea and it was fabulous!!! UPDATE: NEW MANAGEMENT IS FABULOUS. Now that I've lived in town for months, this is my favorite local coffee shop. They're also so kind and have great customer service. How this place has 4 stars is beyond me. The day we tried this Cafe, the AC seemed to be out and there were standing fans around the place. There was no music playing, the decor is cheap looking and cheesy, and the "Friends" theme is surface level at best. The girl working the front counter looked miserable and seemed disinterested in taking our order. Seating is cramped and the family sitting next to us was nearly pressed into us. I ordered the iced lavender latte, which arrived sans ice and was lukewarm and overflowing onto the table. The taste was... underwhelming and watered down. I also ordered a guava pastry that left alot to be desired and tasted like something you'd get from the frozen food section of the grocery store. This place feels gimmicky, like it was decorated to be shown in snippets on social media. It feels outdated. And somehow we left spending nearly $50 on a few coffees and breakfast sandwiches. I will not be going back here and hope that Baldwin Park gets another local coffee shop to provide an alternative to this sad excuse for a cafe. read more
