The following is a review draft of mine that I thought I'd posted a long time ago…read more Thanks for the gentle reminder yelp. It's my gateway to Nautical Mile so of course I'm feeling Freeport. Ain't a GothDarn thing Free in this port though. Well except Jeremy's Ale House on The Mile, their prices are as close as you can get to Free. Freeport LIRR is on a whole different line from where I live so instead of the back n forth and line changing AND with the LIRR in such a glorious mood Summer17 if I have to use public transportation I enjoy the N4 bus rides into this village. Freeport has been called many impolite names by a few I've come across but that's their prejudice. I have never been bothered here by police or civilian and I've been here some ungodly hours. It's a bustling little village so give it a visit. Restaurants and nice locally owned shops especially on Main street. But most of all it's the gateway to.....The Mile **grins** The End.

Freeport is a nice little village that sits in between Baldwin on the west and Merrick on the east…read moreside right off of Route 27 which is also called Sunrise Highway. It has a quite a few places that you can go shopping for different types of ethnic food and it also has a lot of historical spots like Guy Lombardo Avenue where the historic bandleader Guy Lombardo lived And if you're into eating they have plenty of restaurants especially on WoodcleftAvenue where there are a ton of seafood restaurants and Steak & Chop houses And if you're into fishing there's plenty of charter boats that will take you deep sea fishing or just for a leisurely Cruise out into the bay So if you happen to be in the area especially near woodcleft Avenue give it a try I believe you will enjoy yourself

One of the most hostile environments I have been to. I was consistently judged while my time there…read moreespecially by people in the children's department. There are better libraries to go to other than this particular one. These people don't only have racial biases but have a tendency to look down on their own. While here please proceed with caution. Characters such as Ms.Brown, Anita Ephraim and jace pearson are hostile and manipulative And should not be trusted or at least approached with caution in mind. This is my personal experience with these particular individuals during my time here. If you are offering up your talents or even offering your time to tutor children make sure you Are treated fairly, and paid correctly. Even if you are a patron walking in just keep in mind ,There are many other different places to go to Even recreational centers that present a better environment, For you and your loved ones. for the first week I was there Ms. brown had kids work off the books (14 & up) this also included staff such as my self. she also prompted people to run errands and would pay them in cash. this use of unprofessional methods would consistently be authorized by ms. brown. she and Anita Ephraim also threatened to write up a coworker that was hospitalized at the time whos status was critical because of the misplacement of broom sticks in the janitorial closet. UNATTENDED KIDS WOULD THROW ROCKS AT YOUR CAR AND PURPOSELY TRY TO BREAK YOUR WINDOWS and staff such as jace person and Anita Ephraim refused to aknwolage the situation or help pull up CCTV footage. During my time there the staff would harshly judge different patrons that walk in as well as each other. If you are white, of a lighter complexion or of mixed race they WILL, undoubtably treat you UNfairly and look down on you* (even though Roosevelt library had some kind faces that wont discriminate against you, it was a rarity) as a person of mixed origin, they consistently looked down on me and made the environment extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable to be in. its always "your own people" that wont fully except you or look down on you the most with hateful actions. I figured I'd speak out and offer a word of caution to the people that enter this environment. especially when it comes to being discriminated against or having your property damaged.

A town-hall meeting was held at this library by former Nassau County District Attorney, Kathleen…read moreRice who is currently a New York State Senator. Multiple issues were addressed that impacted those who work or live in the area. The library is part of the Nassau Library System. It has three floors with a functioning elevator and is wheelchair accessible. The library has an adult, teen, and children's section. A computer room to met your tech needs and plenty of meeting space on the third floor is awesome. If you appreciate the arts you will see plenty of works by local artists displayed throughout the 1st floor. Plenty of events take place at this library for all ages so you can "checkout" their monthly newsletter for what's most current . To keep the kids busy they also offer after school activities and programs for school age children. Parking is free but not huge so you may have to resort to street parking.
