Ordered two Taylor ham egg and cheese bagels on a Saturday morning. When we called ahead we requested one bagel to have ketchup, salt and pepper. When we picked up and inspected our food we found both bagels had no cheese and both had ketchup. On a separate occasion we ordered in bagels for a large group. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience. Went on a Saturday around noon, didn't look that busy but still took ~15 mins for our salt bagel with butter and BEC on an egg bagel. The sandwich: ordered double eggs over easy, over cooked for even a fried egg! All of the bacon was gathered in one spot, bagel was chewy, disappointing. Great bagels, we took out and didn't order anything else. But they were fantastic, even a few days later.

Ordered a sausage bacon egg and cheese with tomato on a roll but by 11 they were out of rolls. No biggy, I got on toast instead. Sandwich was great just no tomato. Friend order grilled chicken sandwich with bacon and it came without the bacon. She went up to have it fixed and they charged her a dollar to add it. I was unhappy with there service and even though sandwich tasted good I would not return. read more

I imposed a moratorium on myself to stop going to places recommended by Yelpers, since I do not agree with Yelpers and lately, they are just wrong. I didn't adhere to my own self imposed moratorium and I visited Baldwin Bagels. It appeared to be a good bagel place, the neon "hot bagel" sign was in the window, it was busy, the bagels were in bins, and they had names that were representative of bagels, plain, poppy, sesame, they even looked like bagels. Alas, these were not bagels. A bagel is to be chewy, but not huge. There has to be a denseness to the bagel, it shouldn't have a good chewy crust, only to reveal a mammoth fluffy mess inside. They were not expensive as Tinyee H claimed. They sell bagels, and if in Parsippany, I guess it would suffice, but to claim these are good bagels, is a shanda. read more

Stopped here on a whim and was pleasantly surprised by the outcome. Layout is your typical bagel store that we all know and love. Was a bit cramped inside which could pose a problem if it was busy. I ordered basic sandwich of salami and cheese. Meats and cheeses were sliced to order and placed a fresh, crisp, HUGE hero. Mustard, lettuce, and onions to finish the job was all i expected however i was happy to find out that I got a pickle and a choice of salad to go with it. The craziest part about this whole story was the it was UNDER 7 dollars. I couldn't believe it. The sandwich was gigantic, plus the extras will normally run you at least 8 dollars if not more in the area. Taste didn't suffer either. Went there last week had chicken salad that was absolutely the best. Went back again this week the chicken salad was so loaded with what tasted like garlic to me , when I called and mentioned it to them they said no we don't put garlic in ourchicken salad. I went in there last Thursday and have to tell you this was the dirtiest place I have ever seen --- and if that's what is in FRONT of the customers, what can you think might be happening in the areas that you can't see. They ring amounts on the register that are more than the sign behind them on the wall. Just went here for the first time - and it was amazing! Great selection of gigantic REAL bagels and cream cheese (and they don't skimp on the cream cheese). Good coffee selection as well, fast and friendly service, small but cozy seating area. Will definitely return, probably every weekend. If I could give them a ZERO star I would. All I can say is thank god they opened up a new bagel spot on New Rd. because that's where I will be going. I came in and ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel and had to wait 15 mins for it. Other people after me who ordered the same thing were given their order before me. I had even ordered a PB & J on toast for my nephew one day, and they had me waiting almost 20 mins for it. I should have gone elsewhere, but my nephew wanted it. They definitely play favorites here and it's definitely not a mistake. It has happened to me over 3 times and now with a new bagel place, I don't have to go back here. Sometimes I don't even get what I ordered. The service here has declined so much. Never a smile and they seem bothered by having to take your order. So, I went back.. Bad choice. I ordered 3 eggs over easy w. home fries and rye toast yesterday. I walk in and the place looks new and I don't see most of the familiar crew. I ordered a BECSPK on a everything bagel....y'all know what it is. Had some hashbrowns on the side cause I was feeling a lil extra hungry this morning. So I'm sitting, I'm eating, and my boyfriend asks me what I give it out of 10. I think hard but you know I couldn't give anything above a 5...so I told him 4/10 for the taste. As I ate though I started thinking more...the portion inside the bagel was skimpy. Thin ass egg, like 3 slices of bacon...despicable. Other bagel shops give half the damn pig on the bagel. I was so happy with the bagels and the staff I had to write a review. I was driving through after showing some clients property and I was hungry! Stopped and got a poopy bagel with lots of butter, then I ordered one to go with chicken. The staff was extremely friendly and professional, when I was in a very bad mood they cheered me up. The bagels were warm and fresh. I cannot wait to go back. I also have OCD, and this place was spotless. My eyes were all over and there were no crumbs in sight! This place does a great business, the bagels are the best I have ever had, I like the large bagels that are not tough like a lot of other places. They have a lot of food options, I really like the bagels but if you want the best sandwich for lunch order a Taylor ham (not pork roll), egg and cheese on an everything bagel with salt\pepper\ ketchup. I have never had anything besides breakfast there which is about 90% of the time a taylor ham, egg and cheese on a bagel. I have never had a bad experience. The people behind the counter are friendly, the food is cooked fresh infront of you and the prices are what you would expect.
