They still haven't placed me anywhere. We went to McClatchey Counseling and Consulting, and per Ms. McClatchey's recommendation, we spent…read more2 hours with her for an initial visit on June 7th. After seeing her, we e-mail requested (dated June 16th) a statement of our bill (which we paid in full on the day of service) in order that we could file it to our health insurance. Ms. McClatchey responded to my email with "In am out of the office this week but will be happy to send you an insurance super bill upon my return next week. Thx. Missy " (dated June 19th) On June 29th, we received a statement in the mail that was inaccurate. It represented the fee of $300 for the time spent with Ms. McClatchey, with the statement that it was "1 unit" of her time (we were there for 2 hours - and per her billing structure, that was 2 units of her time) along with our payment noted as "$150" (we paid the $300 in full at the date of the appointment). In order for insurance filing, all stated fees and payments must be correct, and this was not. At that point (June 29th), I reached out to request a corrected statement from Ms. McClatchey. That email was not responded to. The following week I sent another email (July 5th) with an attached image of the scanned incorrect billing statement, and highlights on the issues of concern, along with our request for an accurate billing statement. Ms. McClatchey responded (dated July 5th) with "I am of if the office this week, but happy to resend next week. Thx. Missy" Today, July 12th (a week after our last correspondence) I sent another note to Ms. McClatchey, reiterating our desire for an accurate billing/payment statement. We have not heard from her at this point, nor have we received an accurate billing statement. We can't file with our insurance because of the inaccuracies of the bill and payment on the statement we have. This is a real problem as Ms. McClatchey does not accept insurance, so she would be "out of network" with anyone hoping to file insurance, and they (like us) would be at Ms. McClatchey's mercy as far as providing a billing statement they could submit to their insurance. This has become a real head ache. While Ms. McClatchey seems able as a Counselor/Consultant she simply does not run the business side of her office with care or accuracy. There are many many able counselor/consultants in Atlanta, and because of the poor business handling we have experienced with Ms. McClatchey , we would suggest taking your business elsewhere. **edited: Ms. McClatchey has just responded to my note with this email (dated 7/12/18) " I actually dropped in mail today. As I shared in my last email, have been out of the office and have just returned and have not had access to billing. Thx. Missy " We have yet to receive an updated statement. **update 7/16/18 - We today received a (still) incorrect billing statement from Ms. McClatchey. The "unit" indicating the time spent with Ms. McClatchey is incorrect, as is the date of the statement (it is dated as "generated on June 24, 2018".) The amount paid is correct, thankfully. I am asking again for a corrected statement.
