After arriving at 18:45 on a Friday, we waited about an hour to be seated. It's the type of welcoming ambience that immediately makes you feel at ease. The servers were attentive and friendly. While the atmosphere was strong, the food was what stole the show. The appetizers were very good with the herring and skagen particularly standing out. The meals were all stellar. The fried artichokes were sensational. We had the strawberries and cream for dessert (not pictured). This was likely my favorite meal in Sweden.

The food was AMAZING. They had so much to choose from. 1 table of cold cuts with different herrings, salmon, salmon pie, bread etc. 1 table of hot dishes with scrambled eggs, omelets, soup, chicken, bbq ribs and pork (yum!). And 1 table of desserts with pancakes (with cream, 3-4 different jams, chocolate and maple syrup), pastries, brownies, croissants, apple-based desserts and much more! The food was very well prepared and frequently refilled by attentive waiters. They were equally attentive when it came to clean our table from used plates. They were all friendly without seeming pushy and we had a wonderful experience and have already decided to have our Christmas dinner there. A 5 star rating seem reasonable since the window-issue isn't big enough to warrant a loss of a star.

And Soppan as all may have already guessed is a extremely cosy lovely tasty soup-place. But not only, they offer several different non-soup dishes, as well as drinks and fika things. Every week they publish weekly menu and if you are craving for something special - just drop by the specific day. The location is very good-cosy-home-feeling one, it is not crowded in the lunch hours and the personnel is one the most friendly and attentive that you may ever met. I wish I could go there more often. Good good good.

Young woman serving us was having constant poker face. Not even a hint on smile. I did not feel welcomed and probably will not come back there. Next point, I had pasta carbonara - the worst pasta choice I made so far... Pasta was overdone, too much sauce - was not good. The greens were old and not fresh. Very upsetting. The bar is small, unassuming and finds itself on a street filled with conspicuous, Italian restaurants hosting happy hours for corporate Swedes. The bar is a standout for the drinks, the trademark Swedish charisma and genuine warmth. As a side, shout out to Sweden for having the nicest, most welcoming people in the world. We were given a standing table when we got in, but quickly moved to a couple of seats by the bar. We were one of 8 couples at the bar, so yes, very date night vibes. For our first round of drinks, we got the Easy Martini and Let them Eat Cake. The latter was too sweet for our liking but the Easy Martini had the perfect amount of sweet and tart. Our second round was the winner with the Girl Dinner and their Old Fashioned. The Girl dinner was crafted to perfection and possibly the best version of a martini we've ever had. The old fashioned too, made with WhistlePig 10 years was fantastic. The service cannot be faulted, we profusely thanked the lovely bartender, vowing to crow about it to whoever cares to listen and to be back when we are in Stockholm next.
