Parent pick up is a mess, they need to come up with a better system…read more You can't car pick up the kids if the bus is in front of you. If the bus is late you need to wait for the bus to come and leave before you can pick up your child. The busses should be lined up somewhere else. You also have the option to get out of your car and pick them up, but the problem with that, there aren't enough parking spaces!! Mrs Arrowood is the rudest lady I've ever dealt with at a school. The One day that I'm late to pick up my kids, this rude lady decides to threaten me to call CPS and Cops. When I told her to go ahead, she decides to tell me to get out as she is pointing her skinny, wrinkled finger at my face. I have never been treated with such disrespect! Rude, racist, abusive, bully (administrative assistant). She probably had a rough day, she needs to go take a walk, get a vacation, or simply find a new attitude.

We had an absolute nightmare of an experience here. My son went from a fun go lucky kid who…read moreabsolutely adored and enjoyed going to school to dreading it. Watching the joy leave his soul and coming home in tears several times a week was heart wrenching. Incidents were repeatedly reported to the principle Randy Eigner. If the incidents were not caught on "camera" they were unsubstantiated and nothing was done. They claim to be a PBIS school which values teaching conflict management skills and coping skills. When my 7 year old (yes I said 7) got into a physical altercation with another child he was immediately suspended for 2 days. This was a first time behavioral incident. No one was injured. When asked what PBIS principles were tried to help teach the children how to conflict manage more effectively and restore the peace that they had disrupted, the principle stated that "they don't have to do that and that it's just the recommendation." When I asked what Mr. Eigner was expecting the children to learn from being suspended for 2 days his answer was concerning. He said "they weren't supposed to learn anything but that they were to be made an example of that the school doesn't tolerate such behavior." Again, my child is 7! There were other concerning and unsatisfactory answers to our questions regarding the incident. There were tons of initial redflags along the way before this incident, and I should have listened to my mommy instincts and I didn't. I just hope no other family is put through the nightmare that ours was with this school. The school staff does not seem to be familiar with current evidenced based practices in classroom education nor in disciplinary methods. As professionals they are obligated and expected to be up to date with current research in childhood development and education and this just wasn't our experience.

Lacking professionalism, communication, and accountability!!!!!…read moreZero stars if I could. The faculty will bend rules for favored individuals. Therefore, if you're not well known and favored they are rude for no absolute reason. They send children home who are sick but expect you to be there within minutes. If not they will send your child back to class and tell you "you took too long" (I took 15 minutes). Bullying goes unreported and unresolved, leaving not just my child but others in a heightened state of stress.. at an elementary school, unsat. You would also think that with living in the mountain and not always having access to cellular service, they would follow up through emails or the apps they require you to use. This is not the case and again, the faculty treats you as if you're neglectful which is laughable considering I have walked in while faculty were yelling at a sick child (maybe it was warranted but definitely not a good look and definitely not professional). Accountability is also SEVERELY lacking which is very concerning as a parent. I have updated the school of every sickness or vacation which contributed to their absence. This is the only time they will text/call AND email but still expect a delinquent letter in the mail even after excusing them. I have also received messages at 4pm that my child did not attend school that day, which was horrifying at first considering I personally dropped them off and could not contact the school since it was after hours. I had to leave work to find my child safely at his afterschool program... this did not happen just once, but three times and they still contacted me a whole day later requesting a reason why he did not attend.... So then I have to confirm that my child was in fact at school and then they start being rude again.?

I honestly loved going here and I miss it so much!!! My little brother goes here now and he's…read moregotten really good at behaving in class since he started attending.
