What an amazing experience! I did the 2-hour horseback trail ride. I was impressed by how genuinely…read morepassionate and caring the guides were. It is a family-owned business, so the guides are related. The pace was relaxed and comfortable. You are on the horse the whole time, but they give plenty of breaks for both the riders and the horses. Throughout the ride, the guides will share fun insights about the horses themselves, the local wildlife and plants, the ranch itself and of course the Grand Tetons. They welcome all skill levels - even total beginners like me. The guides take the time to teach you how to direct and handle your horse, and the horses are very well-behaved. They also keep the group small, which makes the experience feel much more personal. You'll see stunning views of the Hoback area, the Snake River Canyon, and the Teton Range. You'll ride to see a spectacular view of Bidger Teton National Park. The guide is so nice that he will take pictures of you on your horse with the scenic background. It is an unforgettable experience for me. Highly recommend them.

I'm so glad we chose Mill Iron. The trail was breathtaking, reaching a couple thousand feet in elevation with stunning views of the Grand Tetons. It's very beginner friendly, and even the kids, both 9 & 11 years old, in the other our group had no trouble keeping up. We did the group ride instead of a private one, but it still felt personal and small with just one other family, we were a total of 8. Cole, our guide, was fantastic. He kept a safe, easy pace, took breaks for us and the horses, and even took group photos once we reached the top. A quick heads up for those considering the 2-hour trail ride: you don't get off the horse the entire time, so expect a little soreness or stiffness by the end. But honestly, it's so worth it. The staff is kind, professional, and clearly care deeply for the horses. We learned that each horse only does one ride a day to avoid being overworked. If you're on the fence about trying horseback riding, take this as your sign. Go for it, you won't regret it.

So far we've stayed in the Peacock, Teal, Latte and French Country rooms. Once, we came with my parents , and we shared the Lyon House across the street. Each time, we have loved our visit. The hospitality is fantastic-I always feel like I'm staying with a great aunt that loves to take care of her family. Really, it's that good. We have done the Dine and Unwind package, which includes a delicious dinner and a couples' massage. Best experience ever! If you're looking for a special getaway, be sure to consider this. The property itself has a lot of history-be sure to save some time to talk to Craig and Vicky about it's past. If you're looking to host an event, the upstairs area is perfect for that too!

One of the best decisions I've made in a long time. It's set in an old church that's been renovated to have five rooms in the lower level, and we stayed in the King room. The first thing they said when we walked in was feel free to explore and make yourselves at home which we totally did. Vicki and her husband Craig were great and they took care of us even making us a nice breakfast in the morning before we headed out. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The property is gorgeous and secluded. We stayed in Alex's Cabin, which was charming, cozy yet spacious, and well stocked without being fussy or cluttered. The mattress was very comfortable. The ranch is just 10 minutes from Moose-Wilson Road, which goes right into the national park. I can't imagine a better place to stay. We hope to be able to visit again.

We stayed at the cabin "The Ritz" and it was perfect for our family of 4. There is a bedroom upstairs with 2 twin beds and then the queen room down. A grill, coffee maker, mini fridge, and small kitchen with dishes, utensils etc. would have allowed for us to cook if we had wanted to. But we chose to eat at the several amazing restaurants nearby. Wilson is a 1.5 mile drive with some incredible places - Nora's Fishcreek for breakfast is a must! And Streetcar is an excellent choice with a great variety of quality food from Tacos, hamburgers, Poke bowls, fresh salads, and more. Or head into Jackson for more great choices - Snake River Brewing is recommended. We also were able to book a Wildlife safari with Brush Buck into the Tetons and it was incredible. We saw a grizzly and 4 cubs, a moose, mule deer, elk, pronghorn, and marmots. The boys also had an AMAZING guided fishing expedition up to Jenny lake (the Snake River is not fishable this time of year but the lake trout was abundant!). But back to the ranch. The Ritz cabin is adorable with a screened-in porch, fireplace, winding staircase and HUGE open windows that allowed us to admire the incredible view. Lilacs were left for us upon our arrival. The property is a horse ranch. Also there are a bunch of other cabins to choose from so if you need something larger, etc. check out the website. The horses are from private borders so you can't ride them, but you can feed them apples or carrots; which was the highlight of our experience here. Just spending time with the horses, walking trails, etc. There are several trailheads 1/2 mi up the road from the ranch, which one leads you up to to an incredible calm lake at the top of Teton Pass. I would HIGHLY recommend this amazing gem in Jackson Hole. It was the perfect place to rest and experience being on a horse ranch and enjoying the majesty of the Tetons. I cannot thank Alex and Mike enough for everything!!!

This was my first time staying in an honest to goodness Conestoga wagon, and it was truly luxurious. Not words I ever imagined typing. Pulling into Moose Creek Ranch was not immediately remarkable, but beginning to walk the grounds, I felt the persistent mountain breeze, heard the babbling Trail Creek, and saw the peaceful natural surroundings and well-manicured grounds all commanding my recognition. Then there were the comfortable environs of the ranch buildings, inclusive of the cozy lodge room, a game area, and a spot for breakfast, all with a chill music soundtrack wafting through. The staff were friendly through and through. We took advantage of a trail ride with Biscuit, our wrangler, the morning of the 4th of July, and enjoyed his capable, humorous guidance through a forest trail near the Ranch, capably tailed by Rooster the resident corralling canine. And now back to the Conestoga wagon. These things boasted bunk beds and a king size, with a full bathroom, small sitting area, pre-stocked mini bar with room for your own items, plentiful plugs/USB ports, and a highly capable mini-split AC system. Ridiculous (in a good way)! If the original Westward Ho movement had these things, Manifest Destiny would have hinged on thread-count, and we'd have never made it past Ohio. These things would be the Airstreams of the 1800s. Loved the experience. This might be the experience you needed, even if you didn't know it.
