I'm incredibly picky and difficult client. I got some flowers that I didn't love. The flowers were fresh and were better than the picture they were trying to emulate but I just didn't like the size and look of the arrangement. I brought them back and the florists were incredibly professional and accommodating and wanted me to love my arrangement.They switched out my bouquet and made a whole new custom bouquet no questions asked.. Customer Service is obviously very important to them and they will go above and beyond to make sure their clients are satisfied. Will continue to get all my florals from Baker and would recommend them to anyone. They are superb. read more

On Decemeber 24th my husband and I decided we wanted a fresh floral arrangement for Christmas dinner. The woman that helped us pick out our arrangement was friendly also helpful as she told us about the upcoming 50% off after Christmas sale starting the 26th. When the 26th rolled around I was excited! This store had many unique items. Upon entering this store I was greeted by another friendly store employee. She showed me a couple different areas that had discounted merchandise. She then accompanied me to a different room to show me which items were on sale. The very first item I found was a cardinal birdbath. Which she said was also 50% off. My husband's mother always loved cardinals so we started to collect cardinals in her memory. As I entered the biggest room there were many cardinal items I picked out. Finishing, the store manager (owner's sister) told me that none of the cardinals I picked out were included in the 50% off as they sold them year round? These items I'd chosen were clearly Christmas! I asked another employee who this person was? Then I asked how could I purchase a cardinal bird bath at 50% off but I couldn't get a cardinal sitting on a holly berry branch in a snow globe?? I then realized that for whatever reason, she simply resented me? As I've never met her previously? I was confused? I spent a goodly amount of money in this store! When I returned home as I was showing my husband all the really cool items I bought I also repeated my experience with this woman. Since he echoed the very same view I had, I was getting more annoyed by the whole experience! On Monday I'm returning to this store to get a refund for these purchases! I will not be treated in this manner! My husband said it wasn't worth the added drama to return everything. He's a bit more laid back and quieter than myself. Nice staff. Flower arrangement received was a real disappointment. When I called to express dissatisfaction with the pink roses ( I requested purpled and whites, and told them I didn't lie pink) that were shockingly old looking upon arrival, I was told that although the roses did look pink, they were not, and while they were quite open like a week old flower, that was because they were a new type of rose that although it didn't look good upon arrival, would last longer! The manager did not offer to swap out the roses, nor make any other concession for the less than attractive arrangement because she thought it looked good. If that's as good as they can do on a $65 arrangement (not counting $18 delivery and taxes, bringing it to $86), I suggest you find a florist that has a better product. read more

Since being sold by the Bakers, the new owners do not have the same consideration for their customers. I ordered a hanging back to be delivered. The sorry excuse for a hanging basket that was was delivered was scraggly, sickly and unappealing. It was so bad, that it was refused by the recipient. As much as I hate to trade with a chain store, I'm not going to be taken by Baker Floral again. Sadly, Baker Floral is the only independent florist shop in town. I'll try Hy-Vee next time. read more

I've been using Baker Floral for a few years now when I need to send flowers to my parents. I just got a picture of the arrangement my parents got for their anniversary and it was stunning! I always tell the florist to just be creative and use what's fresh rather than picking from a picture, and they do a great job. read more
