Well I try to go into every business with an open mind and give everyone a fair chance at service. I feel this business was not as quite transparent with their approach. Nothing was priced and everything in the case was for display. The shop is basically a cake order facility but it does not read that way on the store window. The only thing in the store was display cakes and empty display cases. Sorry just not impressed and for the amount of items I got it was not worth the money. It could use a lot of improvements. I did not find it very welcoming at all.

I ordered my daughter's first birthday cake from here. I sent two pictures, one for the design and one for the color palette. I then asked if a pun and my daughter's name could somehow be included. I was pretty nervous about how it would turn out, but they nailed it! Better than I was even imagining. They were very nice, and everyone said how great the cake was. I went with white almond and it was moist and the frosting was good. I will say the appearance inside the bakery could be improved and the cigarette smell is strong. The person attending the front stated it's the ventilation from the 510 Bar next door. It had no effect on the cake, but I imagine it would hurt business. Will definitely be getting her birthday cakes from here in the future. They nailed it.

I ordered a cake and sugar cookies from Bake My Day Bakery for my son's high school graduation. It turned out exactly how i wanted it even though I gave them really basic instructions. The cake was beautiful and tasted really good and moist. My guests were very impressed. Their service was also excellent as well. Easy to order and the cake and sugar cookies were ready at the time I asked for. I highly recommend them!

Makes the prettiest custom cakes! Order birthday cakes here two times already (one time for myself and the other for my sister)! The owner lady is super friendly and nice! Make sure to text them beforehand with screenshots of pictures of what you want your cake to look like. For the two cakes I ordered, she matched the cake exactly to the pictures I sent her. Not only was the cake pretty but also delicious. Although it was a pretty big cake, the cake was still fluffy and moist. I highly recommend the German chocolate flavor! Also, I love that there isn't an excessive amount of cream (def way more cake than cream) because I know a lot of places put massive amounts of cream before you get to the actual cake! 10/10 recommend! Def will be ordering more cakes here in the future!

I can't begin to say how pleased that we were with the beautiful cake that Michele made for my niece's Baby Shower! I had never been tasked with buying any cake for such an event, lucked out by finding "Bake My Day Bakery". The cake was just lovely and tasted as great as it looked! Smelled so good when I walked in. Too bad the cakes don't taste that yummy to me. Not a fan of the frosting on cupcake. Red velvet cupcake was ok but the almond sugar icing did not go with it.

This is literally the best bakery I've ever been to. And I've lived in 17 states. The cakes not only look good but they TASTE amazing! So Moist and not too sweet like most cakes. Michelle and her staff are so wonderful and accommodating. I find inspiration ideas for her to design and she never disappoints. I've bought several cakes from her business and she and her husband are amazing and also delivered a cake to us once. This is the best bakery ever!

Ordered a cake for my college graduation party and chose a University of Houston design--came out very nice! The only thing was that they did not write what I requested to be written on the cake but oh well. I chose an almond cake with raspberry filling to be topped with almond icing. When I finally tried a slice, it tasted great but the frosting was crazy sweet. That's a plus for all you with a true sweet tooth! ;) While I was picking up the cake, I decided to splurge and try a petit four. YUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMM! Please try one if you get a chance! Only down side, $2.69 for a stinkin' little square of cake! Overall, very good bakery that has a big variety of designs and flavors to choose from! read more

Oh my Goodness!!! Super Yummy cake!!! I had a wedding cake made for my brothers wedding and everyone really enjoyed it. The cake was very moist and the frosting was great. The ordering process went well, the cake was ready on time. The only reason not a complete 5star was due to high end pricing for the area. The cake was great however and convenient for me so I didn't mind paying the higher price. The owner also allowed me to sample the white almond flavored cake and that was a great suggestion. Red velvet was also amazing. There weren't many leftovers and everyone loved it! My past 2 experiences. I ordered a chocolate cake for my sons first communion. They forgot my order but made right and got another cake that was for someone else and quickly decorated it. Cut into it the next day and it wasn't even chocolate. They gave me a $30 discount towards another order. So I ordered a cake for daughter bday and am here now picking it up. I just asked for regular buttercream icing flowers on it. She put fake flowers on it. I complained and she is now making the buttercream icing flowers. But I am tempted to just leave and get a cake from a grocery store. I am just so disappointed because they have always done wonderful work for me in the past. read more

We came to check this place out hoping to bring home a couple cupcakes for later in the day. However we quickly found out this is more of a special cake type bakery, and not really an everyday bakery. You can pick out some cupcakes and petit fours and if they have some in the back, they'll ice them and you can take it home. In that sense it might be hit or miss. The cake was ok-moist and spongy, but not outstanding. Overall, I would consider it if we need a special cake in the area, but not for my everyday needs. read more

Contacted the shop and several others very last minute for my daughter's first birthday party, like 2 days before lol and this bakery was the ONLY one to respond back and I could not be happier it worked out the way it did. The cake was absolutely gorgeous and looked exactly like the picture I sent of what I wanted. Not only did the cake look amazing but the taste was one of the best I've ever had. We've ordered three custom cakes from bake My Day and all have been wonderful! All were designed by me and they replicated the designs perfectly! Flavors are plentiful. I love the almond flavor but my husband doesn't so some may not prefer it but I thought it was wonderfully subtle and tasty. Always get our cakes on time and love the designs! read more

This place is a joke! Ordered the cake for an anniversary nothing was matching the agreement. Owner was not there when we went to pick it up. Employees were very disrespectful. We had to accept the cake due to no other choice and they got our money already. They iced the cake when it was warm. When we took to the cake to the ceremony all the icing was at the bottom When we talked to the owner following day she told us you got a cake and took it that's it. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE DO NOT BUY! read more

I emailed Bake My Day because I had questions. 24 hrs. later they responded with one sentence not answering all of my questions. I responded back and 5 days later still nothing. I called and she said text me. So I texted her. I didn't like the options so I decided not use them. I told them I wasn't going to use them. Then 2 days later they respond to my email like we never spoke. Horrible customer service. Will not ever use them. read more

Horrible customer service. The cake is delicious but my cake fell apart almost as if it wasn't attached right onto the cake. The icing just slid completely off the cake. She claimed that I left it out too long. When buttercream can last 2-3 outside. I called the next day because I was super upset that I paid $95 for their technique and instead the icing on the cake completely fell off as shown in the photo. She kept making it seem as if it was my fault but, when 1/4 of the cakes icing completely ran of my cake and the other 3/4 stayed completely fine. For that price I need my cake to look good no matter what reason....which is why I didn't go to Walmart for a cake but instead it seems like Walmart cakes would have been a better option. I talked to the owner and she insisted on me to bring the cake back in for a full refund. I told her it's not like I had 3 other cakes laying around to chose from. I only had one......I would have appreciated a partial refund. $20, $30. Instead she offered a discount on the next cake. Why? Idk because I will obviously never be returning. I do not recommend this place at all. Plus she uses buttercream icing not homemade icing which is the same as HEB, Sam's and Walmart. It's not worth your money. We have had several cakes made here. They are great at putting together custom cakes to order. They have quite a portfolio online. You can even scan a picture to them and they can put it on the cake. Cool for those hard to please kids)). Cakes are moist and frosting is quite good. It's the leftovers that I enjoy! read more

$3.50 for the biggest red velvet cupcake I've ever eaten gets four stars in my book. The icing is based on a sweet cream butter, similar to Sweet Boutique in Sugar Land (my favorite there). The cupcake part itself is very solid and more like a real cake instead of being crumbly like All About Cakes in Sugar Land (don't recommend). Great job! read more

I order a bridal shower cake. It was a expensive for a 8" round double layered cake. It was italian cream cake! IT WAS AWEFUL!!! Very DRY! I order it on Friday and picked it up on Saturday. 1 day only. it was dry!! They didn't even use the cream cheese frosting for the cake! They used buttercream. They said they had to for the decoration. It was a cherry blossom! Not hard at all! Well I will never use them EVER AGAIN!!!! I should have sticked to what I know thats 3 brotheres Bakery!!! They are great! These people didn't even come in last plast to them!! They never even placed!! SO if you want a good moist cake DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!!!! read more

I ordered cupcakes here for my best friend's birthday and was scheduled to pick them up on the day of her birthday. When I went to pick them up at my scheduled time, they were closed. They had a sign on the door saying they would be closed for the next 2 weeks. I never got a call or anything to notify me about this so I could make other arrangements for her birthday cake. I left them a message asking them to call me about the situation. It's been a couple of weeks since then, and I never heard back. Wouldn't recommend this place. Not dependable. read more

Definitely would not recommend this cake service to anyone.They did a very poor job on what I believed was a simple cake to make.I asked for a 2-tier pink zebra cake that I picked out in their photo book,when I recieved it I didnt realize how sloppy they had done the cake.The lines were put all over the place free will.It wasn't structured and it didnt even seem thought out.Please do not use this service they are unprofessional and their are plenty of other places that can do a better job than this. read more

I went here years ago & forgot all about it. Went back the other day & got a petit four (clueless about the spelling) which was good but overpriced at $2.69, a small strawberry cupcake, $2.00 & two large sugar cookies, about $1 a piece, they were just okay. The strawberry cupcakes were AWESOME & OK priced. I did hear a lady that came in behind me tell her kid that the small ones are better than the big ones, not sure if they might not really be as good, which is possible or just didn't want to pay or have their kid overly sugar shocked, which is also understandable, so I've stuck with the smalls!! The ladies don't speak great English, which is kind of annoying, & they repeat everything you say. read more

I was in a pinch to get some cupcakes. We bought strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla. The cake was fluffy and moist. The icing was perfect! Whipped and not too sweet! I'll definitely go here next time I need some cupcakes. I might order ahead though as they didn't have much in inventory. read more

I've been ordering cakes from them for 2.5 yrs. I always order red velvet flavor and it's just plain good, really moist and it just like melts in your mouth. The cake balls are also really good. I recommend everyone to try them. Good customer service. This is an ideal place if you want a great cake for your party. read more

VERY HAPPY to have found this bakery. Their website is up to date so was able to phone them with my questions and then place an order for 25 Petit Fours with light blue booties. I asked to have them made one day before my pick up and that was no problem. The petit fours were beautiful and delicious! Easy check out and pick up. Would definitely use them again! read more

i've tried other places, but still keep coming back. and the reason? they're the perfect moisture cakes. you can get a great mouthful with icing and cake, without having to sacrifice one for the other. the icing is super sweet, but the cake really balances it out. best in the city. and get a cake in 1 day advance!!! no lines. plus owner is very helpful and suggested smaller size to save my bucks in this economy. read more

But also the cupcakes were delicious. You could tell they were freshly made, great flavor, soft & moist, and the icing was just perfect not too sweet. I will definitely be using them again next time I need a cake or cupcakes. Her price point is on average, with inflation things are subject to change, but as of May 2025, it was $45 for a dozen cupcakes or $36 for 18 mini cupcake cupcakes.

But best bet is to come here early to secure the best parking spot available. Not sure if there is regional public transportation system here in Katy, but probably best to have your own ride, a rental, or friends who are willing to take you around town. Then there's always Uber or a lift who can take you on command, but it does cost money for you to do so. With that said, 85C bakery here in Katy, Texas, where a lot of happiness is these days, is the place to be where you want to have snacks at your convenience. It's not really in Houston but it's worth a drive if you're headed out that direction. I'm not sure if they have mobile ordering or not but maybe that could be the case if you want that option too. This is my 2nd year ordering a birthday cake from Bake My Day. The cake that Bake My Day did this year was perfect for my daughter's pink poodle in paris themed birthday party. It was a two tier round cake (serving size was 35 people) and Lan was very helpful with suggesting not ordering a larger size because the size we got was plenty.
