***Best of the Best***…read more Oh my gosh, I happened upon this local photographer and couldn't be more pleased! I saw her super cute portfolio and was in love. We were in a bind just before the holidays, and Sarah made time to squeeze us in. Her pricing was great, especially compared to other area photographers, and she was local. All bonuses in selecting a photographer. Once I met Sarah, I quickly realized that she was warm, friendly and humorous with us and our kids. Totally needed for family photos, especially if you want some photos with laughter and real life emotion. In advance, she asked us specifically what we were looking for, and on the day of the event, she was prepared with a few props (although I also brought some of my own), and she whipped it all together for a way better plan than I'd imagined. I wanted some natural setting photos, not super posed. And she got us laughing, and captured the moment. She even had some creative poses that turned out CRAZY cute. Those turned out to be my favorites. And all her photos, have become my most treasured family photography yet. She comes armed with some nice photography equipment (i'm no expert), but the lenses definitely looked pretty spectacular. When photographing us, she maneuvered quickly to capture just about every angle, and every photo came out ridiculously crisp with FABULOUS lighting, and even some delicious bokeh. We went to her, but she's mobile and will come to the location of your choice. I can't imagine a much better setting though, than her neighborhood around Bear Creek Park. Fall photos come out great with tons of leaves, and changing colors. Spring and Summer are green as green can be. All perfect for some gorgeous outdoor photos. I usually hate myself in photos, but thank goodness for Photoshop, as she did some very natural photo editing that made the photos absolute perfection. Her edited photos were super speedy in reaching my email inbox. She leverages a secure online system to provide me access to download my high resolution photos. Easy peasy! And without even requesting, she sent me a few goodies for the following holiday, to use in social media. Seriously, could she be more awesome? Who does this? Love her! When we moved here, I was totally overwhelmed with finding the right family photographer. Thankfully I found Sarah, and and from here on out, she's officially our family photographer. Her business and photography matches my style and my budget, and the end product will always be gorgeous, lasting, photo memories of my most precious people.

The bridal session photos were fantastic! We did photos with just us in our wedding attire at Texas Rangers Ballpark in the stands, on the field, and in the dugout and we LOVE them! She and her assistants did the traditional "formal" pics you expect to take at a wedding...but also did photos that incorporated our unique, silly personalities! She and her team stayed through our entire event...which included a Texas Ranger Baseball game and took photos of all our guests enjoying the festivities. As a veteran network news producer who has worked with many photographers and videographers over the decades, I was immediately impressed by the level of forethought she brought to the job. So much of great photography is in the preparation. About 75% of the work happens before you ever press the shutter. Execution becomes the easy part when you have real talent, and Atali has both. She planned her coverage with intention, strategically positioning herself throughout the event. She seemed to be everywhere at once, and her engagement with attendees was consistently professional and warm. Attention to detail is rare in a fluid environment, especially when the rundown shifts on the fly. She kept everyone looking their best during group photos, to the point where you might have thought she was the stylist or the publicist. When I later saw the final images on social media and the event website, everything I had observed that day was confirmed: Atali is skilled, reliable, and genuinely passionate about her craft and her clients. I still work in television and have since referred media networks and individual colleagues to her every time I'm asked for a photographer recommendation in DFW (for headshots, events, and branding). In entertainment, media, public relations, and advertising, your reputation is everything, and Atali has earned an excellent one. What struck me about her work ethic that first day has proven true again and again through the experiences of the people I have sent her way. During that call, a "questionnaire" was briefly mentioned as a planning tool to help organize the shoot -- it was described as something that could help her plan with ideas like making a theme with a memorable item like a bulldog, color palettes or set ideas.i explained to her I just want minimalistic white background, in a few of my business outfits navy, white and black and one scene sitting at a desk. No cutesy themes. After payment was made, I received a lengthy questionnaire that included personal business questions about myself, my company, and my competitors. This requirement and level of detail were never disclosed prior to payment, and the questions felt unrelated to the simple, minimalist concept I had described (white background, desk scene, and outfit changes). When I expressed discomfort and asked to proceed with a simplified shoot, telling her these questions were a bit much and what more does she really need - my email was ignored and the session was canceled with only a few days notice. She then attempted to retain $300 of my payment for "lost studio time" meanwhile not taking accountability for not disclosing that this questionnaire was mandatory prior to taking payment, and not accounting for only telling me it was mandatory with cancelling on me 3 days before the shoot. I also lost a full day of work that had been set aside for the shoot as well as lost money on items such as clothing had bought and rented for the shoot. Additionally, the tone of communication became condescending, and she made personal attacks about my character that I "don't follow instructions " and am "entitled," which I found unnecessary and unprofessional as it shifts from discussing business terms to judging character, which is never acceptable in a client-provider relationship. Although a refund was eventually issued, it was only offered because I pointed out she had no legal grounds to withhold any of my money and it was her decision to cancel on me. the experience left me feeling disrespected and misled about the requirements and communication style. I hope future clients are given full transparency about all pre-session obligations and are treated with professionalism throughout the process.
