Luckily we had the whole place to ourselves so it was nice and relaxing. Drinking water is available at the entry to the hammam. The temperature in the hammam was just right, and our hostess Virginie (I believe was her name) was able to modify it for us. She checked in on us quite often. The gommage and enveloppement are done in a room just outside the hammam. At the end of the treatment, which went well over the allotted 65 minutes, we were offered tea with little chocolates. The reception was kind enough and they gave me a good room. The elevator that took me up is basically for one person. This place is historic as Ella Fitzgerald stayed there. Some other famous people were there as well, but I can't recall their names. The room had a nice closet, great bathroom, wonderful shower, large tub, comfortable bed, and excellent tv. The gym and sauna were adequate. The breakfast was great for people on the go who need food early. They opened at 7:30am. The place is located close to Pine Beach, a good spot to walk, and near Antibes. You have to walk about twenty or thirty minutes to get to old town Antibes. It is doable. The local scene is quiet, the Juan les Pins and Antibes area are not as vibrant as Paris, so the scene is more subdued. In the offseason this place is quiet. The pool was cozy, but some guy walked in from the street and it was awkward. All in all, this place is a great find for people in Juan les Pins traveling to the convention center, or looking to enjoy the area.

We took advantage of all the amenities the resort had to offer. We had espresso on our beautiful balcony every morning. Listened to the birds and watching the sunlight stream through the trees. We were able to step outside our door to the pool and swim in luxurious surroundings. We attended a champagne toast with hotel management on Thursday evening which was lovely. We lounged and napped in the large swing chairs. We relaxed in the sauna in the tranquil Japanese garden. Our room was large and pristine. The staff was excellent and attended to our every need. We booked a less expensive room and they were kind enough to upgrade us because it was our honeymoon. We both got massages and facials at the Sheisido spa and then we enjoyed the relaxation room with tea afterwards. Heavenly. To finish our week, we had dinner at the Michelin starred restaurant La Candille. The flavors and complexity of the dishes I have never experienced before! Excellent service as well. An establishment deserving of the Michelin star. Thank you Le Mas Candille! My honeymoon was a dream come true!

Once we arrived at the lobby, had to ask a where from one the three times.....service? none. Sit at bar, no one there? Try and have morning coffee and some service, no one there.....service yourself and then get charged 8 Euro for coffee. Again, beautiful grounds, but this was also the case for two other couples that we knew there. Stay anywhere else, Welcome Hotel, Belles Rives, Du cap Eden Roc, where ever, but not Le Mas de Pierre!

The mattress is the hardest bed I've ever slept on. I didn't even know a mattresses came this hard. It has zero give. Zero. And I'm a 180 pound man. 2. The place is crawling with yellow jackets (annoying wasps that love meat). Every outdoor meal you have hear will be a wincing, shooing, escaping and constantly disrupted. These little guys are relentless. 3. Dinner is impeccable. All other meals are mediocre. 4. The Internet is requires you to log-in every hour and type in four lines of data every time. It's annoying. 5. This is not a place for romantic couples. It's a family friendly spot full of kids in masks and flippers doing cannon balls in the pool. 6.
