Small train station…read more I got off the train from Munich to visit the famous castle. Train runs so infrequently, we sat and waited for the train to arrive. Small gift shops there selling soft serve. Oh how that cold ice cream tasted so good after walking outside in heat. Gift price was reasonable and I ended up buying a few things to take home.

While the station itself doesn't offer much, it is right across the street from the tourist information center and next to a few of the key tourist sights to see. Not a native German speaker (i.e. I can't speak a word), I was able to find my way around without difficulties and also found the staff helpful went I had questions. You shouldn't be expecting much from a small town train station. As long as you don't, Lindau Hbf should be A-Ok.

It does it's job getting me to Zurich and back in a timely manner. Usually there's a big Migros right next to it, but they're doing construction till November. Es ist einen Bahnhof, dass ist alles!
