While the Neukölln Bahnhof is no doubt a convenient merging of the U7 and the ring, this station is…read moreone of the more unappealing that I frequent.
Certainly there is a cute little shop with coffee and baked goods, and just inside the main entrance is a little produce stand. There are also plenty of shops nearby, such as the Neuköllner Tor. But the station is also surrounded and inhabited by dudes who sit around drinking all day, or homeless guys (also drinking) with their dogs, begging for money somewhat aggressively. No thanks.
Furthermore, there is also always some kind of construction going on, which is messing up the road or closing off one of the station entrances/exits. For the year I have lived in Berlin, there has been on-going construction and I still am uncertain of the actual aim or what has even been accomplished.
All in all, Neukölln Bahnhof definitely does not rank among my favourite stations.
