We didn't realize this was going to be a dive bar until we walked in. It smelled bad and the bathrooms were gross, but playing pool was fun. I ordered the snow crab platter and was full off of crab, and had to take my sides home. That seems to never happen at seafood places for me, so their portions were great. The food was good too. My sister just got a fried chicken salad, because she doesn't like seafood, and said that the chicken was really good too. The servers hand write the bill. I don't want to think that anyone would do this on purpose, but it would be easy to pocket money this way. Our server charged me for a soft drink ($2.50) that I didn't get. On the other bill, an extra $4 was added to the total. So I ate their yesterday... the waitress came by 2 times in 5 minutes, but then waited 15 more minutes to take our order. Keep in mind the place can only be at 25% due to the social distancing. What are we going here for? When you walk in, you think it is a hole-in-the-wall. Ding ding ding. This is why I come here. Cheap beer, decent food. Don't come on a first date here. Come here afterwards and shoot pool and play darts. The pool tables are in decent shape. dart boards are nice. The beer is the cheapest around. The smoke is terrible, and the bathrooms aren't the best. This is coming from a guy who is not very picky. The owner should rename the restaurant to just bobs and repaint the place a neutral color. This was my second time eating at this resturant\bar. The first time I went at night with my girlfriends and we had a good time. The food was decent and you get a lot of food for a decent price. The second time I went was with my family during the day and....the food was good. The only thing was I was able to look around and see alot more. Bahama Bobs has always been a favorite spot of mine even before the "New Pooler" area started booming. Most people travel in town Savannah for seafood but this place nails it perfectly. Also if you are looking for a place that plays music, diverse crowd, and good drinks. Parking is a breeze due to it being located in a shopping area. While celebrating my bday, myself and two of my sisters came here to finally try the seafood. Individually we ordered one of the seafood combos(platters) they are like $25 a piece but so worth it. We eventually discovered they do have platter combos that can serve 2 people or 3 people but we just got ours individually. The meal did not take long to come out and while it was being prepared the waitress bought us the tools and side items we needed( garlic butter, hot sauce, tartar sauce, and etc.) Once the food arrived I was blown away with the massive size, steaming hot, and delicious aroma. It was impossible for one to eat the whole platter in one setting. I took the remainder home. Once my other sister arrived she claimed she was not hungry but after observing and tasting our platter she had to order her own and it did not take long for them to prepare. The staff is great, plenty of tables to sit and eat along with pool tables for play and a dj on weekends. My combo contained fried shrimp, crab legs, corn on the cob, and potatoes. My sisters had the combo with shrimp, crab legs, oysters, potatoes, sausage,and corn on the cob. Come here hungry and leave stuffed. Money well spent. This is not a fancy looking place but it is very inviting. They stay open on the weekends until about 2am which is pretty good for that area. read more

My girlfriend and I went in for dinner. Waitress took our order like normal, her food came in in about 10 min, great. I was told mine would be out shortly. 15 min later, still no food, out of water and she's finished her plate. She got fish and chips. The chips were good as that's all I had to eat while waiting. She said her fish tasted freezer burnt. 30 min later my food shows up and it was fun to not be able to enjoy the food as I felt I had to hurry since I was now the only person eating (she went slow to wait for me). I eat in about 4 min. The waitress then jokes that I ate my dinner faster than it came out. Uh yea, it took you an hour to get it to me, not sure you should be joking about being terrible. Luckily we don't live here bc I won't have to worry about going back. I had so much fun. Although I only ordered oysters, they were fresh & hot! The karaoke, the diverse music, the waiters were fun. I looked around at other tables and all plates were stacked with food and my friend ordered a juicy steak. I got a few bites of it and it was delicious. I recommended my family to eat at this restaurant 9/14/19 but when we arrived 5 people and two small children we stood there waiting to be seating for 5 min when no one came we seated ourselves. For a so called hole in the wall the food was hot and fresh. I ordered the fried combo with shrimp and tilapia. The shrimp was great and the fish was good as well. The Cole slaw was creamy and delicious. The French fries were simple crinkle cut frozen fries but were just fine. I was not disappointed. If you can get by the smoke it's not a bad place for a few cold beers. Coming from out west I don't understand how you can still smoke I'm bars in this state or while a bar owner would allow it. I imagine you lose more business then gaining it with the smokers turning this into a regular spot. This place is a dump! We sat at the bar for drinks and some dinner. I don't think the bar had been wiped down in years. We ordered our food which took about 45 minutes to arrive. It was great. Large portions and very tasty. I went to the ladies room and was disgusted. The handicapped stall door was hanging by only one of the hinges. There was a large fan on the floor. Not sure if that was to help with the odor or to dry the floor since the toilets leaked. The bar staff was not very friendly and you had to run them down to get another drink.
